Didn't move JC's thread.... but don't disagree its more Rubber Room material than it is Offshore forum...
Jabow's thread I did eventually moved after leaving up all day..... I was enjoying that thread too... but it wasn't cut off from the first post, we gave it a ride...
Whether the Rubber Room is thriving or not, it doesn't change what belongs up here and by your own admission, not exactly main forum material...

My final note on this subject....
I find it a little ironic that I'm getting some heat for "over-moderating" in a thread, that quite frankly could be moved, but hasn't been.
Look, We're all fighting for the same thing, we all want theRX as it was it's prime... We're not ignorant, we know that theRX is not at that level currently. But we're also know weren't not on "life support" either. I spend numerous "required" hours here a week, but also, a day like today, where I am off, I still find myself here because I love it. I enjoy talking sports and whatever random off topic discussions we are having here. I enjoy the different views, the wittiness, and sarcasm that you all bring. TheRX is who it is because of you all. I must love you bunch of degenerates because I love spending my free time here with you.
If you are a RXer, chances are I'd like to have a beer with ya sometime. Out of the tens of thousands of active posters here, I can only think of one poster that I don't care for. Pretty good numbers right? We have some real power posters, and a great community here. I, nor any of the mods, don't make the forum what it is, you guys do, and like I said, we're far from being on life support.
We are fortunate to have fantastic mods that really do care. As a group of Mods, we are consistent, and compared to past years, theRX is much more lenient. If you don't like me, whatever that's your call, but these Mods do more than just put in the time. Just look at the "points" and youll see how much these guys do. BAS worked tirelessly on trying to get that point store up. And How much money has he put in poker and other free contest as well? This is an incredible group of guys that want to see this place succeed.
If you don't like me, it is what it is, by arguing with you I am no going to change your opinion. I love theRX in its entirety, it's forever my 2nd home. And if you feel the same way about this forum, want and do what's best for it, I doubt we'll ever have a real problem.

or...'Let's get in shape! Post your goals here.' (i think there used to be a health and fitness forum); plus i think mrhognuts health and fitness thread from years ago was RR'ed. and tha twas the best fitness thread ever.
or 'looking for agents/players' (which is still in the offshore btw)
just saying. the Jabow thread was entertaining and engaging. Not saying you guys want to boost traffic around here, but literally, RR is dead.

also, well over 2 years now that the "Offshore" Sub Forum has been a Mix of Sports, Gambling and Off-Topic discussions
as much as I now hear people saying... " Your Favorite Pizza " Threads bother them.... Food threads, Polls have been Active.
health and fitness Sub Forum has been gone at least 4 years now, maybe more.
Can't make everyone Happy... but we are not going to open up an extra 12-15 Sub Forums to get rid of the Off-Topics
I don't have a huge problem with that thread being moved (little extreme that the premis of the thread was me punching JC in the face however) but it's also a cop out to say that it's not a topic to belong in the OFFShore forum when like was stated above we have random fitness topics, favorite pizza, etc.
It's doesn't need to be a prison here with anything goes but I really don't think that topic was that out of line and MUCH MUCH worse has been let go. What I posted was all in fun and it didn't hurt anyone, ok it hurt one person but you get my point.

Not a huge fan of sub forums for general topics.
I like the sports sub forums but not for anything else on a forum like this hurting for traffic.
The more sub forums the more you thin out the traffic.
All the people who say the offshore should be nothing other then gambling related dont have a clue how message boards work.
If therx ever made that mistake therx.com would become a place where people order Viagra in 6 months or less.
But to all the RR fans of the past:
One of the reasons the RR use to be great was due to all the threads from the offshore and the sports forums that were moved to the RR.
Yes the rubber room also had its share of original material but I would say at least half of the good stuff in the RR back then originated from the other forums.
5 years ago a thread being sent to the RR was not a death sentence for a thread.
Back then when something got sent there every one just simply starting posting in the RR.
The RR being dead is mostly a product of the other forums that use to feed the RR material is dead.
Its all organic.
When one section of the forum suffers it has a residual effect on the entire place.

Singling someone out like that isn't good for the forum... Why should anyone post picks here if there's a chance if they lose, people will go put in their signature how badly they are doing... its not like this person is a tout selling picks... Why should someone post threads here when everytime they something they get jumped about how stupid they are...
In this specific case, it's not like JC ever posted anything that was even close to malicious (in terms of the original subject content). He wasn't a racist, and I don't think anyone including you would say he was a bad person. He was just an easy target....
I'm not saying we all have to hold hands but what happened with JC was out of control, and wasn't good for the forum. Again, i'm not saying he shouldn't have been called on some of the things, in a lot of cases he was asking for opinion and got it, but IMO, this turned into a "mob mentality" against him, and why should he ever post here again when that's the case... That was my problem with the thread.. (<)<
