You think it's wrong for mods to defend their advertisers if they feel the posts are unfair? The mods are not entitled to give their opinions? I read the whole thread and I didn't see Ttinco or any mod offend Chuck once.

I think the moderators should be able to say whatever they want. I thought it was wrong to move the thread to the rubber room when it was the moderators who were doing the flaming, but now it's back in the Offshore forum, so ok.

I wouldn't really call it flaming. It's more along the lines of pointing out that what is "best" for Chuck isn't necessarily best for the majority of the players and that they would cost themselves a lot of bonuses & line variety by following Chucks book recommendations-which in my opinion, are overly "restrictive". He loves to bash smaller\rec books, but I'd like to know how many of them he's actually played at.

It implies that Chuck Sims has a book or works for a book.

I heard the story from a few guys who run shops in Costa Rica. Since it isn't substantiated I won't give the details, but essentially you are on the right track there. Who knows maybe Chuck will say more sometime, but I doubt it.

Wow this thread really got crazy while I was out. The whole "shit" book back and forth amongst people really hits a chord. I think we all have different definitions of shit book and I think that gets at the core of this whole mess. To some shit book means anyone that will limit a cash machine for a good player. To others it means a book that lies, cheats and steals.
