I can't help but pull for omar. How that mf lived after jumping out of that window i'll never know?

He has got it in for Marlo. He burnt that money in that truck and said this was not about money.

I'm afraid they won't be able to do it right with only 3 episodes left.

I enjoy it, although the inner city dialogue is a little hard to follow, sometimes. After awhile, the ebonics gets to me, also, it's a bit overdone. And, the show lost a lot of cred when Omar came flying down from 7-8 stories with just a bum ankle/foot...........and made it away from the scene in that condition. He's better than Houdini !
That being said, it's still good/interesting to watch.

Anybody have any predictions? I watched the last ep again last night, and I was thinking:

The Co-op has to strike back at Marlo; somebody has to have some muscle to get to him. Too much on the line to let Marlo just kill Prop Joe and up the price of the good coke. When Omar jacked the guy (don't know his name) in the alley, the guy asked Omar if he killed Prop Joe and Hungry, and Omar just laughed. So I think this may lead to the Co-op trying to kill Marlo.

Or, I think Chris is feeling the pressure from Marlo for letting Omar off the hook, and Marlo may kill Chris for the mistake. If that happens, I think Snoop would stay loyal to Chris and kill Marlo.

Either way, I think the street takes care of the problem before all of McNulty's house of cards has a chance to work.

The Co-op; in particular Slim Charles probably want Marlo dead, but I don't think they will do anything.

Other predictions:

-McNulty will get caught staging the seriel killer and perhaps commit suicide
-Marlo, Chris, and Snoop will all live. It would be to much of a storybook to have Omar kill Marlo.

Predictions:

Omar will kill Chris and Snoop...

Mike will kill Omar... Omar let Mike live twice now and that will come back to fawk him over... Mike will get out the game...

Avon Barksdale will get out soon and him and Slim Charles will war with Marlo and will be back running shit... Something is up. No way he gives Marlo the Greeks connection for nothing when he was only sentenced for a few years for violating probation ... Why would he want to make Marlo richer and more powerful when getting out soon???

Slim Charles will kill Cheese for setting up Prop Joe...

Mad people will be dead once this is all over...

Mcnullty will die somehow also...

I just watched the most recent episode again. Does anyone else think there is a chance that Bunk could turn in McNulty for making up these fake murders?

I did not really think about it until everybody started saying McNulty will kill himself. Bunk seems pretty pissed about it and McNulty is just laughing it off.

In the commercial HBOis running this week for the next episode, McNulty is heard saying, "Lester, get me out of this." So maybe the fake wiretap gets uncovered, but I doubt it would be Bunk. Also in the ad, is Bunk interviewing Michael, and Mihael not cooperating with Bunk at all, so Bunk if anything, is pissed at "real" police work, and may be symathic with McNulty.

And so it goes......

I just watched the episode that will air this coming Sunday.

Sad to say Omar gets killed by that little kid that works the corner.

I wanted to see Omar take it to Marlo, but it looks like the police are going to be the ones that take Marlo and his crew down.

only 2 more episodes left

Yeah... That was BS way for him to go... Did not see that coming so soon as Omar only got 1 of Marlo's main crew... I was hoping he would make some more noise before they killed him off..

Definitely. Im trying to figure why the Wire writers took out two characters that you respected because they honored a code with bullets to the head the didn't see coming.

Omar now....Bodie last season.

One of these two should have went out better than that.

the game goes on

SNOOP DOGGED: The Wire's hit woman Felicia "Snoop" Pearson has been arrested by Baltimore police on minor drug charges after being detained for refusing to cooperate as a witness in a murder trial, according to allhiphop.com. Members of the Homicide Unit entered her Northeast Baltimore home with a warrant, and found two marijuana cigars and some residue. Police were seeking Snoop to testify in the murder trial of her associate Steven James Lashley, accused of stabbing three men, one fatally, allegedly in Snoop's defense, after an argument inside a restaurant. A warrant was issued for Snoop on July 1, after she missed an April 21 trial date. The character portrayed an androgynous, cold-blooded killer for a drug gang in the HBO series

Started watching it on DVD because of this thread - I'm starting season 4. It's frickin' brilliant, written like those huge 19th century novels. So much depth to all the characters, never a wasted minute in any episode and everything just makes complete sense... wow.

Favorite season so far was the 2nd because of Frank Sobotka - the guy who played him was excellent.

Thank God for subtitles though. There's no way I'd understand more than 20% of what's being said otherwise.
