Step into Liquid, perhaps I didn't express myself well.

I was not pointing out Oklahoma's bad games this year. I wish to draw attention to Jason White's mediocre games against top defenses over his career at Oklahoma so I gave stats from 5 games over 3 seasons.

In some cases Oklahoma was impressive despite White not doing much. For example against the best two Texas defenses he has faced he has two picks and ZERO TD passes in about 7 quarters of work. Yet Oklahoma won 14-3 and 12-0. I am a strong believer in defense being more important than offense so a 14-3 win is just as good a 52-28 one.

As for USC's off games you don't see Leinart having no TD passes and 2 picks `a la White in them.

Therefore I think Leinart's chances of imploding are much less than White's.
Berlinoe, I understand your points/stats. But I really don't think Stoops is foolish enough to let this game rest on the shoulders of Jason White. He'll ask him to not make mistakes and play good enough to win. They don't need White to have the game of his career to win this. They have an outstanding backfield with Peterson at RB and a good defense. If Stoops has his way, I think he will like to run Peterson as much as he can all night and hope the defense can do their part IMO. I took OU +3 early.

Good luck and let's hope we can have to great football games to end the season!

I agree. I might add the obvious that if they need White to have the game of his career they might as well forfeit the match because he will not have 7 TD's and 550 yards passing against USC.

If Oklahoma wins I believe the Peterson +defense formula will apply, so IMHO the Peterson to win Orange Bowl MVP prop at +350 is a more sensible play than the current OU -1 -110.

Berlino, nice call on that prop. Peterson +350 for MVP is a very tempting prop to play. I agree with you 100%, if O.U. needs White to win the game for them, chances are they are down big, Peterson has been kept in check, and OU will most likely not win this game.

Good luck on all of your plays tonight! :toast:
