Green Mile is good but it doesn't touch Shawshank.

Even though Green Mile has some great sub plots such as the others dislike and distrust of Percy and Dell and Mr. Jangles, Shawshank's sub plots with Andy verus's Boggs and his gang and Andy the protangonist doing income taxes for the Warden and Bulls the antangonists coupled with Red's own personal journey throughout the film make Shawshank the best of the two.

I personally found the end of TGM equally poignant. The notion of living to 113 yrs old (book....104 in movie script) with more to come even as your many friends and loved ones pass on makes me pretty misty eyed

I can't say Shawshank was better but I took to it more and have watched it more.

Both good movies, I voted Shawshank..... I expected the poll results to be a little closer
