Yes, and just listening to Morgan Freeman's naration is a joy. He's one of my all time favorites also !

The Green Mile isn't in the top 50.

As great as Tom Hanks is, Shawshank is better. Take your pick from one of Tom Hanks other movies like CAST AWAY or Road to Perdition(yes I said it) or Forest Gump and I'd say any of those movies are better than Shawshank. The guy just makes great movies.

Anyways, Shawshank Redemption was a very well made movie. Never met anybody that watched it and didn't think it was great. I can't say the same for Green Mile even though it was pretty good.

It's all a matter of opinon. Every person I talk to thought INCEPTION was better than SHUTTERISLAND but I thought SHUTTERISLAND was way better. One of my favorite movies of all time.

Interesting thread though putting these 2 movies against eachother. It would make for good conversation putting movies against eachother. Say SCARFACE vs GOODFELLAS. There's a tough one. I would never be able choose.

Tough to pick between the two. Shawshank has achieved cult status and many have still not seen The Green Mile. I went with The Green Mile.

SR is my all-time favorite movie.
