I agree and it is hard to compete w/ sports that make the "athlete" more visable. What I mean is when you watch a race, you see the car not the driver. When you watch golf or basketball, you see the athletes face constantly.

i'll tell who is probably gonna make 500 million in her career is michele wie.

she is an incredible golfer and going to grow into an attractive woman.

she needs to get coaches around her to help with dealing with the public.

she could own the world if she plays her cards right.

Lets face it the ultimate marketable athletes are soccer players due to the worldwide exposure. If an American player were to reach a player of the year level for a club like Man U or Real Madrid that would be tough to beat. Internationally he would make a fortune off his notoriety and he would be able to crack some money off the US market. Being a big name in the US market is the only thing that is missing from Beckham being a 500 million kind of celebrity.

over the length of her career which could last 25 or 30 years , i dont think 500 mil is a stretch.

she can make 4 to 7 million a year on tour and i'm sure all the lady products will be lining up to sign her. not to mention nike will probably throw 30 or 40 million her way..

she will bring men in as viewers when she starts playing full time.

she is that good. a freak of nature. as far as her looks, she is only 15 , give her a few years.

I suppose in inflated numbers it could happen, but right now the best one can do is win about $3 mil a year on the LPGA. Annika won $2.5 mil as the money leader last year. Winning and getting paid $500 million over 25 years won't mean much though, I bet Lebron makes it there like MJ. He gets the benefit of likely having many $20 mil years after he gets 7 years in the NBA past him. Add in his sure thing shoe and apparel contracts and I would guess he will far outearn her over his career. Not saying Michelle won't be a big thing for golf, just can't see her making half a billion.
