Going to side with the better coached team.
And that team is the Xavier Musketeers.
Sean Miller has his team playing their best ball of the year right now and it won't be a coach like Rodney Terry to take him down.
The Musketeers roll in here winners of 7 of their last 8 with the only loss the conference tourney semi's to Marquette 89-87 in a game they should have won.
This is the type of tournament team Miller can do good things with: a low post player you have to double in 6'9 forward Zach Freemantle.
And spot up guards who can shoot the 3 in Chase Ross and Ryan Conwell.
Texas is a solid team with a great set of individual scorers led by NBA prospect Tre Johnson and his 20 points a game.
Truth be told, individual basketball doesn't get it done. Defending does and it's absolutely clear who the better defensive team is here.
This Texas team went 8-13 in the calendar year 2025!!!! Ouch.
Simply put, they know how to lose basketball games and a major portion of that falls on head coach Terry.
In my opinion, the team that wins this game is going to cover and I just see Xavier being the more complete team and the team that wins.
