Let's start winning week #4 in a row and 17 of 21 here in 2018 with a winner.

Well, just like game 6 in Golden State, the Warriors fell behind by double digits at the half, blew out Houston in the 3rd quarter and eventually covered the number.

Well, didn't look good down 3-0 early but Jon Lester settled down, the Cubs offense came alive and the bullpen held on for the 8-6 run line winner.

Let's deliver playoff winner #10 out of 14 in game one.

The conference finals were very profitable as I cashed 9 of my 13 releases which brings us to game one of the NBA finals tonight.

It's a 50 dime release where I have cashed 6 of my last 8 in the playoffs as well.

Overall it's the last day of May, where I have stepped up and delivered yet another winning month making it 4 of 5 winning months this year.

ANALYSIS​

The clear cut right side of this game is the home team.


After their sweep of the Toronto Raptors the Cavs had time off to rest and get healthy and get ready for the all important game one in Boston.


They were destroyed 108-83.


In game two they were a little better but still got blown out 107-94.


After a 2-0 sweep at home to tie the series, they rolled back to Boston for game 5 and were blown out again 96-83.


They didn't win game 7 against the Celtics, Boston lost it as Jaylen Brown and Terry Rozier combined to shoot 7 for 33 and as a team 7 of 39 from 3.


For them to cover game one and even win a game in this series, they would need Steph Curry and Kevin Durant to shoot 5 of 40 and as a team shoot 8 for 40 from 3 in one of these games.


NOT GOING TO HAPPEN IN MY LIFETIME.


Cleveland is a horrible defensive team that hasn't faced an offense this good in the playoffs. PERIOD!


The Cavs are atrocious defensively and only looked decent because of the teams they played to get here aren't even close to what they will see in this Warriors team.


Do I give LeBron credit for getting here? Absolutely, in my opinion, his greatest achievment ever getting this cast of characters to this finals.


However, the feel good story ends there.


This is the lamb being led to the slaughter, much like James first final, a series he was swept by the Spurs and Tim Duncan.


This game tonight is a "send a message" game. A "statement" game.


Cleveland is 1-4 ATS last 5 meetings in Golden State and 2-6 ATS last 8 meetings overall.


I will force James to do what he couldn't do in game one against the Celtics: cover this game.

Let's set the table for a big weekend with a winner today.

Well, I said I would force LeBron to cover this game one number and he sure as hell did as the Cavs played perhaps their best game of the playoffs in game one.

The Cavs were outshot from the floor 51% to 44%, from three 36% to 27% and out assisted 29 to 19, so other than LeBron scoring 51 points, how did the Cavs cover?

How about outrebounding the Warriors 64-42 including 18 on the offensive end.

That is how you cover as a double digit dog. End of story.

Not the way I wanted to end the winning month of May. Not the way I wanted to head into this weekend but it is what it is.

ANALYSIS​

They will beat them big for a 3rd night in a row.


Last night I came right down mainstreet with Gerrit Cole and the Astros over Chris Sale and the Red Sox and they didn't disappoint in the 7-3 win.


It was a tight 4-3 game into the bottom of the 8th when the Astros touched up the Boston bullpen for the final 4 run cushion.


In 2 innings the Astros hit Boston's relievers Matt Barnes, Joe Kelly and Brian Johnson for 3 runs on 6 hits but trust me, it could have been even more.


I see a similiar result heading into tonight.


Let's look at the pitching matchup of Justin Verlander and David Price.


Forget Verlander and his early Cy Young numbers: 7-2 with a 1.11 ERA so far this year.


What he has done since his arrival in Houston is downright incredible.


In 23 games (22 starts) he is 16-3 with a 1.36 ERA.


At home this year he has made 6 starts and given up 2 runs or less in 5 of them. That is how good this man has been pitching at home.


Over the course of his American league run he has a 2.88 career ERA against these Red Sox.


David Price has been solid lately I will give him that: He has allowed 2 runs or fewer in each of his last 4 starts going 3-0 in that span with a 2.49 ERA.


However, I will not confuse Toronto twice, Tampa Bay and Baltimore with the best team in baseball.


The fact they got to Chris Sale for 4 earned runs knocking him out of th egame in the 6th and then hammering the Red Sox bullpen for 3 runs on 6 hits in 2 innings.


This game may be close through into the middle innings and then the Astros will do what the Astros do, score runs late.


All 7 of Justin Verlander's wins this year have come by 2 runs or more and tonight, I just don't see him losing to David Price and the Red Soxl


Houston rolls by 2-runs or more tonight.
