My Analysis
The better team wins and covers this game this afternoon.
That team my friends is the LA Chargers.
First and foremost, no team, that that loses outright at home as an 8-point favorite to the worst team in the NFL is going to win a playoff game.
I'm talking December 1st at home against the 3-14 Tennessee Titans, the Houston Texans lost outright 32-27, one of only two games the Titans covered all year long.
Further more, this Texans defense that everyone says is rock solid, allowed arguably the worst QB in the NFL to go 18 of 24 for 278 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Folks, Will Levis can't hold Justin Herberts nuts in an orgy!!!!!!!!
OH, and the Texans allowed the Titans to rush for 132 yards as well.
If you couldn't stop the Titans, you sure as hell are not going to stop the Chargers.
Since their week 7 loss at Arizona 17-15 this Chargers team finished the year 8-3 wirth their 3 losses coming to Baltimore, Kansas City and Tampa Bay.
Hmmmmm, unlike the Texans losing to the fu#$%@king Titans, the Chargers just so happen to only lose to 3 PLAYOFF TEAMS!!!!!!
Problem #2 facing Houston is the fall from grace of QB C.J Stroud, who after a great rookie year, has been nothing to right home about.
The 2nd year kid from Ohio State faced 6 top 10 defenses in the NFL going 1-5 SU against them.
You are not going to beat rock solid defenses when you threw more INT's than TD's, as Stroud did with 6 touchdowns. versus 7 interceptions.
And now he faces the #1 scoring defense in the NFL with an offensive line that gave up the most sacks in the AFC (52).
Oh, and more QB pressures than any team in the NFL. "Hey CJ, allow me to introduce you to a couple of guys who's last names are Bosa and Mack."
Listen, I realize the Texans pulled off a great upset last year in the playoffs as an underdog blowing out the Cleveland Browns.
Let me remind you the Browns QB was 90-year old Joe Flacco, not the stud taking the field today in Justin Herbert.
I will go down swinging with the #1 scoring defense in the NFL facing a suspect offensive line and a shaky QB all day long.
Lay it with confidence as the Chargers get the win and cover and head to Kansas City for meeting #3 with their division rival.
Let's roll with the boys from burned down La la Land.
