It was absolutely teed up for the San Francisco 49ers to save their season.
Trailing 9-6 with 5:20 to go in the game, the Niners have the ball 2nd and 10 at the Rams 33 yard line.
They have moved the ball down the from their own 28, taken over 4 minutes off the clock and you have the tying field goal in your back pocket so no need to panic.
All Brock Purdy has to do is keep taking what the defense is giving you, pick up another first down, take more time off the clock. Exactly what you've been doing.
So on the 2nd down play with a check down to the running back right in front of you for minimum 5 yards maybe more, setting up a 3rd down and short.
Instead, he throws into triple coverage deep and with that interception goes the San Francisco 49ers season.
And Purdy says in his press conference after the game, "Bad decision, had the check down, just have to learn from it."

LANG'S PICK: ARMY/NAVY UNDER 39

My hottest release I have had this entire year has been this 75 dimer.
After handing you a 40-point championship winner last Friday night with Jacksonville State destroying WKU 52-12, I am 12-1 my last 13.
I then followed that up by doubling down last Saturday with the 150 dime winner on Oregon (-3') 45--37 over Penn State, although it wasn't as close as that.
Those 2 winners kept this amazing College football regular season going with 1 game left on the card: Army/Navy today.
It was back in 2021 when I handed you a 75 dime winner on Army/Navy Under 35 1/2 and the game went exactly as I thought it would staying Under: Navy 17-13.
That was the 16th straight year the two hand gone Under, a streak that was snapped 2 years ago courtesy of the first game ever going to OT.
Last year the total was dropped to a historic 28 and it looked like it was going under with Army got a goal line stand with 3 seconds to go leading 17-9.
However, they took a safety on the last play of the game to put the game right on the Vegas number of 28 with the 17-11 final.
Now this year, with both teams having successful seasons, Vegas has jacked the number back up to 39 1/2 to 40 based on where you look.
Do I jump on the Over as both offenses have had big days at times this year or does this series fall back into it's Under run??
One thing is for sure: I feel good about college football winner #3 in a row and 75 dime college football winner #13 of 14.
Oh, and pushing the college football run to 28-13 this year.
