Wish I could find the clip but Metta World Peace says Anthony Davis is best player in NBA.....He said it like it is non-debatable.

I don't agree....just thought you guys would like to know that AD gets that endorsement from one of the real "crazies" of the NBA.

I read this at the beginning of the year but AK had been run off so didn't bother to post it. Obviously Davis had an injury plagued year so consensus opinion has likely changed but clearly the majority of NBA GM's had agreed with myself and ChopTalk at the time we made the post.

Whether the consensus opinion was right or wrong isn't really the point, nobody can predict the future.

If you read the thread, a poster said we were crazy for believing something 86% of GM's believed at the time. We just didn't have this poll yet to cite.

I gotcha and I'm not making fun of the poll or your opinion. AD is great for sure, just don't think he is the best in the NBA right now. Most young players aren't. He is still young.
I would start a franchise around him in a heart beat...

I probably wouldn't take him #1 anymore. He is too injury prone and Curry has gotten too good. Towns is on the heels as well and is likely more durable than AD. Don't think there is any real consensus now.

That 86% will probably go down to 20% at the beginning of next year.
