Does a good job on football and baseball and is easily the best in the business when doing hockey..

Dick Stockton, forever and ever was my favorite. But he is old now. So I guess I have to choose someone else. I dont know whom yet.

I also think Mike Tirico is underrated as an announcer...he is very sharp.

only thing about Tirico, I think he gets animated too much. I think a good announcer tends to save the high amounts of zeal for the bigger moments in the game. A player will grab a cup of gatorade, and I am concerned MT may blow out the P.A. system yelling about it.

He is sharp though, not to disgaree as I am kind of nitpicking here.

Sean McDonough son of famous father Will who passed, was at the very top as the CBS guy when they had MLB, even did World Series games ....very good one, with a biased for the New England teams....

Hey Rob, very true, lol, I like Tirico though and his animated calls, hilarious...he does get excited easy....Tirico, Lee and Kirk are a good team on the ESPN weeknight game.

Gotta agree Thorne is the best hands down. Tirico is also good. I think John Saunders is the very worst

Trying to think what his name is, I like the Angels local guy...I know he is on ESPN too...

On MLB.com you really get to hear a wide variety of local guys and some are awful.

Gary Thorne does a great job. Ever wonder he's been picked up in Lincoln for having an open container?

Have to agree. I had so much fun watching Angels games when I had the MLB package. "The Mariners make a mistake and Molina makes them pay" and they have the music and cut to a commercial. yeah that guy just brings a good vibe to the broadcast of ball games, make no mistake.

I know his name and can't think of it...Gary something?

The Rockies announcers are 'unique', lets put it that way....the Rockies color guy is like Kreskin though, or maybe its 'like Fezzik' !!?? He does have a knack for calling it before it happens, maybe its the air in Colorado.

Also, I know Vin Scully is a HOF'er but this guy just talks way too much for TV broadcasts, its like he's doing the game on the radio, he comments on every minute detail...what is Vinny now 85?

physioc is good , but rex hudler ( his color man ) is brutal...

vin scully talks so much while doing dodger games because he's the only guy in the booth .. and it's really unwatchable ..

also unwatchable are white sox games with harrelson..

Yea, wonder why LA doesn't have a second broadcaster?

Also couldn't agree more Chicago has the worst broadcasts....

Have heard alot of complaints about Rex too.
