UT has a history of buying out of high profile non-conference games. My bet is that they never make the trip to Columbus in September. For 500G they'll just buy it out and schedule UNT or Rice again.

Win, how late could they go until they opt for a buyout? The game is for Sept 9th at The 'Shoe and then down in Texas in '06. I'd imagine a buyout would cost a fortune with Ohio Stadium seating 104,000 fans.

I know 2 years ago San Diego St. elected to play both games in Columbus at the last minute for the larger payout.

I was pissed, I thought I'd get to see my almna matter play at QualCom Stadium.

Wow Winky, that's going waaaaay back. Excellent memory! I was only 7 at the time. But very impressive with your memory for that game.
that was my 3rd year @ fullerton and unlike 99% of the students - i actually went to our games and i ran across damon allen all the time on campus. it was also 5 months after CSUF won the CWS for the 2nd time.

kodiak: F**K YOU! you are just jealous for your LAFF team has sucked the 2 years you have been in the league.

The Titans, correct? One HELL of a baseball program there.
correct

true story: my friend is at the college hoops F4 a few years ago. he sees some kansas fans there. they ask him where he went to school. he tells them "cal state fullerton" expecting them not to know much about it. as soon as he says that, the INSTANTLY say, "you guys have a great baseball team." he nearly died of shock. i find the same thing - people say baseball - and i also tell them kevin costner graduated from CSUF, too.

I'm well aware of you guys, Winky :103631605 I played college baseball at Ohio St. I'm in Southern California myself. I never knew Costner was an alum of Cal St. Fullerton. I just know he's always out in Santa Barbara running around. From what I hear, a really great guy.
