Uscsilb24

Just came to watch matches.

Yes Uscslib24, I am big on Mathieu. Now his lead 5-4 in the first set and Vliegen's serve. Vliegen is better than I excepted.

I have played already something like 2/10 on Gaudio but I will wait couple of the first games of the match to get a picture how Tursunov can answer for Gaudio. His odds have risen so people think Gaudio is not in good shape. Seppi won easily but Mirnyi won Baghdatis, I know Baghdatis is a little overrated but still very surprising result.

Scourge, sorry about your Mayer bet. Lost 7-5, 5-7, 7-5 but won more points (110-106) and was dominating ball rallies according second serve points won. Better luck for rest of the games.

...Vliegen takes the first set and breaks in the second, not looking good but still time left.

I like Henman's odds against Ferrero. Ferrero is a player strugling so much that you have to like to play opposite him and Henman has got now some time after his injury but you could almost say you like to play against Henman too. Henmans playstyle should give hard times for Ferrero but otherwise this is Henman's first clay match of the season and this is a big advantage for Ferrero. Value on Henman imo.

The game for Vliegen 7-5, 6-3. Vliegen's first serve percentage only 40% but he left no doubt who was the better player today.

For tuesday:

Stepanek over Ljubicic +130. Ljubicic playing his first clay match of the season. Stepanek played his first match today winning injured Monfils but he got good feeling to the court. Ljubicic has his killer serve but it is not so effective here but when I started to check this match the most surprising thing for me was Stepanek leading head to head 2-0. He won 2005 on carpet in Milan and this year on hard in Kooyong. Both in straight sets without tiebreaks. Stepanek has better results from clay and Ljubicic suits much better to faster courts. Stepanek has been usually a slow starter for clay season and that worries me little. He has been in DC team many years so maby that explains it, this year he was not. His results from this tournament before Monfils win was 2-4 when it is for Ljubicic 11-8. These odds should be opposite at least. How I see this is Verdasco as a big favourite.

In the previous post I am meaning Stepanek even then when I am talking about Verdasco and they are playing that game on wednesday.

Murray is playing on tuesday and today he and his partner retired in doubles because of Murray's back. This is what he says:

"I hit a shot and my back went into spasm. It got worse and worse after every game so now I just have to see how it's like tomorrow"

Considering Murray not so good player on clay and this his chances would look better. I think Murray has some hidden potential for clay too but not thinking about it too much in this match. Gicquel also not a clay player but he has more experience from clay, mostly challengers. From Pinnacle you can find +215 odds for Gicquel but it is two sets rule in there. Even if odds are bit lower you want to bet this match for a bookie which has one ball rule because of Murray's back. One set rule also better than two set rule or whole game to the end rule. Not so sure if Murray will retire before the start of the match than risking to hurt himself more.

Murray OUT of Monte Carlo
Monday, Apr 16, 2007

BREAKING NEWS

Andy Murray has just told his official web site...

"no chance of me playing tomorrow im sorry but cant lie down right now and its so uncomfortable"

So unless he has a miraculous recovery overnight he will be out.

_42808575_murraybrothers2203.jpg
On a day when it started so well with being confirmed as the new world no 10 it ends with his withdrawal. He was due to play Marc Qicquel 4th on centre court on Tuesday.

The frenchman will now progress to round 3 without hitting a ball.

http://www.britishtennis.net/

not sure if its official, as tourney site has him scheduled to play.

As you stated Levi, may be worth a punt on Gicquel at a book where 'match must start'

Thanks for the info. If you have hurted your back sometimes like that you know it will not go away in a day. Let's hope that it is not even worse than it looks to be.

This is coming late but I made a small parlay for fun. Odd +1251
D.Ferrer
-in fit he should eat Simon for breakfast on this surface.
T.Johansson
-two bad players on clay benny worse of them and in worse condition.
A.Portas
-trough qualies so should have decent possibilities against Hrbaty who has not performed well lately
M.Youzhny
-Lee's game is not for this surface.
K.Vliegen
-Nice game yesterday from both players and a little surprise in this game sounds not impossible.

So Murray gave up before the match time. Some thoughts for wednesdays games.

Djokovic is now -358 against Gaston when he was -500 favourite when the line opened. Obviously the thinking in this match is that Djokovic might choke in his first clay match. I don't think so. Djokovic is very good player on clay and Gaudio still in bad form even he won "clayhater" Dmitri. Starting to see some value for Djokovic.

Berdych -375. Benjamin won Johansson in the first round. Big class difference between the players and Benjamin still might have some problems and he is totally not suitable for clay so Berdych show us some money!

Do you remember when I said how Mirnyi can beat Baghdatis, serve and volley? hardly not so. So he did excatly that. I think it was more because of Baghdatis than goodness of Mirnyi. Mirnyi and his wife got a child for a some time ago so Mirnyi might be playing now as a happy newborn. This court is not good for Mirnyi's gamestyle and I see a huge value with Roitman +101. When the line opened he was favourite but this development in the odds suits for me. Maby it is because you have not heard about Roitman so often.

Soderling lives in Monte Carlo so he should be familiar with the court. Last year he won Davydenko in three setter and Davydenko had pretty bad DC performance. I think +148 for Soderling is worth of a try for a smaller stake.

Kohlschreiber, oh man, it is hard to write his name, maby I will call him just Kohl. He plays against Nalbandian who is nowadays potential choker. I can't see big value in Kohl's odds now +218, it was bigger but he was so close to win in Indian Wells. Won the first set, lost second 5-7 when Nalbandian broke in the end and in the third was one break up leading 4-1 and lost in the tiebreak. Nalbandian had problems with Luzzi but this is no game for now for me.

Nadal -1100. No doubt he is a big favourite but maby he is just not worth of the risk but how long can he keep up his winstreak on clay, what it is now, 64? Over 100 match would be cool :lolBIG:

Massu has definately some value with +222 but he hurted his leg not a long time ago and almost lost for Volandri in a long match. I would like to bet Nicolas but too risky for me.

Very intresting day becoming. My best bet for tomorrow still is Radek Stepanek. His odds has came to +111. Good luck.

i have no idea how Benjamin beats Berdych tomm, looks safe for parlay material, IMHO

Philipp can give Nalbandian fits. David is arguably the ATP slowest tourney starter--never fails with this guy. Gotta love Kohl's backhand--a thing of beauty!!!

interesting to see how Gonzo comes out tomm---i'm starting to wonder if this guy's game has become more suited for hardcourt than clay. Big revenge match for him as Andreev embarrased him in Davis Cup on S American soil earlier in the yr. If memory serves me right, I believe Gonzo was a HUGE fav that day, like -500 or so--tomm he is -165.

i think Clement may give Robredo fits.

Novak is the real deal, his drop shots should be sublime tomm. What will Gaudio bring to the table tomm?:missingte

i'm waiting to see the games lines, but likely i'll be on the sidelines. Time to protect profit in this hostile, unpredictable environment known as 'Monte Carlo'.....:missingte .

Ultimate parlay with Novak and Tommy

Considering the past odds for Gonzo he seems like a real deal. Even he lost that match when he was something like -500 he won their three previous meetings. Now he is already -140!!! What is happening, public and experts playing Pavel? Gonzo was tired and showed bad performances in Indian Wells and Miami but this is getting to be ridicilous. There seems to be some Monte-Carlo extra in his odds.

Berdych hammers Becker.Novak has a 2nd set meltdown against that clown Gaudio but comes back to take it in 3 and Robredo win easy.Might regret it but I'm on Fat Dave to take care of Kohlschreiber in 3

GL with fat Davy. Sounds pretty reasonable. I think I will jump on Davy too because of the movement on the odds, waiting how the match starts and deciding after that. The match just starting.
