I would too. I try to avoid paying tax as much as I can every year, otherwise our $ go to JC EIC & additional child tax credit refund check. Lol.

Not a good day for my clients, everyone getting bad news.

One doctor usually gets large refunds, he owes 20k this year. His W-2 decreased 70k, but his withholding decreased 56K

is that bad? ...an 18 % increase, with UE BELOW 5%?..............is this level of incompetence even possible? US on pace for its largest deficit since 2011.

(haven't vetted these numbers....kinda like bar graphs, not sure why....)

an oldie but just mother fucking awesome, summer of 2018. Not sure if the chap is still employed by US govt (dont follow much..)?

i got it wrong, my bad. USA is on pace for its worst deficit since 2011, WITH UE BELOW 4 % NOT 5%. Note,.... no one corrected me, lol,, they all got the eyes on the plan :)....... Worry about debt when the other guy is in charge...lol,.... cartoonish .....The fat guy tweeted YEARS AGO, .. and NO FUCKING WAY he remembers, ' the biggest threat to USA is National Debt'

If you let "the fat guy" run the country the way he ran his businesses we would be chipping away at the deficit in a big way. But he has Congress to deal with. They have absolutely no appetite to reduce payroll or limit/end programs - neither side, although there are some Repubs who would be with him. But not near enough.

You can't blame "the fat guy".

Wish we could have that drink.

This discussion is too big for a message board.

Record tax collections, yet deficit increasing

That's called a spending problem. Of course, if you try to cut spending, you're a selfish white supremacist that wants you to just die

Mich, HE ran mocking the previous administration's lack of fiscal responsibility , remember :) . He WARNED fellow US citizens of the dangers of a rising US national debt, that he would fix it. With UE UNDER 4 % its RISING

Janet Yellen

Cutting revenue and increasing spending will never be a good plan.

I wish Trump would do what he did with his businesses and just file bankruptcy......it would be at least fair to the kids that have had no say in the USA getting in debt to its eyeballs.

You can't be serious with this post. Trump leveraged all his real estate and businesses with tremendous debt. Always has. Went bankrupt numerous times. This is one ridiculous statement about our current president. He would be chipping away at the deficit in a big way. Wow, that is a whopper.

Thank you Ricboff, your one of the few that talk about the massive deficits being run up by the current president. Of course he is doing just like the president before him and the one before him and so on. if you still run up massive deficits with in the presidents words"the best economy and lowest unemployment in the country's history" when won't you run up large deficits. it is sad and disgusting.

what is happening is indeed a gross disjustice to Americans. A MASK- they gambled - have INCREASED govt spending AND decreased taxes---- deficits are RISING , ..WHO KNEW ..LOL, They need to hire math grads , ....don;t need a Ph D for this. The fact that you are running UE UNDER 4% AND increased deficits is incompetent AND SCARY

Growing the economy is the single most important thing a POTUS can do, because economic growth is essential for a nation and a people to survive. Clearly, one can argue Trump's policies have helped with economic growth.

Since tax revenues are at record highs, that's a huge mission accomplished on the revenue side. You can't spin that with some nonsense about what Trump paid or didn't pay. Revenues are up, period.

The problem is with spending, always as been, and we waste money. Not sure how he can decrease spending without more backbone from both sides of Congress. They're the ones worried about one thing, keeping their jobs. Spending money and giving away that "free" stuff is how they buy votes.
