This is fantastic. It's about time. The only thing is there will be no single game betting but hopefully that will change. I guess we will have to resort to adding a -5000 favorite to every ticket or something creative like that.

The other thing that enrages me is that the NBA and MLB want a cut. It's supposedly for expenses to monitor corruption or possible fixed games. Yeah right. Something they should have been doing anyways since they already knew there was shady business going on with a well known ref and other situations. This is just a weak excuse to get a piece of the apple pie. What a joke. They aren't making enough money already? The players aren't living like kings already? Fuck off.

I also think more people will get into sportsbetting now. I know for a fact that there are people out there that kind of want to bet on sports bet don't want to be involved in illegal activity of any sorts. They will be betting now. They won't care about no single game wagering allowed because most are amateurs betting for a little action.

This is great. I always wondered why the greedy government hadn't done this long ago. There's millions upon millions to be made.

No idea where you came up with that, but it is not correct.

New Jersey will offer single game wagering in 2 weeks, just in time for the NBA finals.

This case struck down PAPSA, so whatever a state decides it wants to offer, they can.

You have to be nuts to think this will help the offshore industry. The big money controls the US goverment, and you can be sure that money will be directing the goverment to shut the offshore books out of the US market.

"We’re going to get ready to open for business at Monmouth Park as soon as responsibly possible", says Joe Asher, CEO of WilliamHill US"

Certainly better than nothing, but the complaints with WilliamHill are going to be plentiful

Offshore - PPH is only going to get bigger now.

Off-shore Sportsbook will depend on their strategies, but off shore have all the infrastructure in place - they just need to get their licenses in order and pay taxes to the fed govt and states will get their cut. I know there is a lot more too it but I have to say that they have a leg up at least.

One of my attorney friends was at a continuing legal education (CLE) seminar near Des Moines about two months ago. Most of the presentations were by satellite and were about the landscape for all 50 states, not just Iowa.

If I remember correctly the way my friend explained it, in most jurisdictions some variation of the following "scheme" will likely apply (so as to not run afoul of different laws or prohibitions in different jurisdictions, unless various states enter into multi-state compacts): (1) You need to be physically present in the state to set up an account; (2) you need to associate one (maybe two) phone or computer devices with your account; (3) when you place a bet, your GPS or IP from your registered device needs to show you are physically present in the state when placing the bet.

Everything you stated sounds right.....I'm assuming every state will do what you just stated.

Sports franchise owners hit the jackpot when the Supreme Court lifted a federal ban on sports betting Monday, according to Dallas Mavericks boss Mark Cuban.

“I think everybody who owns top-four professional sports team just basically saw the value of their team double at least,” Cuban told CNBC, referring to team owners in the NBA, NHL, MLB and NFL.

The team is worth an estimated $1.9 billion, according to Forbes.

I think we will see -110 lines in most places and it will be the standard, because its already is with the books that are ready to go like William Hill, MGM, ect. Draftkings will enter the market too, there will be competition. Will be good for offshores, but only if they are now allowed to process payments now, or it might not have that much impact on them.

Depends on how much action they get and if they actually make a good enough profit or not. It is also new territory so how the state collects taxes will be interesting as well as the Integrity fees lol.

Indian Casinos you can guarantee -115 at least if not more as they already do many shady things to get the odds heavier in their favor.

There will be no integrity fees lol, this decision made that a no go. Indian casinos will probably lease out their space to William Hill, so they will make risk free profits, plus it will bring in gamblers for them that will now bet, drink, eat... on their properties, many Casinos in Nevada already do that.
