YES they DEFINITELY would have.
#1 - That game was for all of the marbles for them. National Respect is so important to a porgram like them, that was their National Title, not some BS bowl game.
#2 - They were not moving the ball from midway through the 2nd quarter on. Oklahoma had them figured out, hence the trick plays, etc was really all they had left at that point.
#3 - Zabranskys confidence may have been shaken at that point and Boise was struggling offensively and defensively. I mean people forget it was 4th and 18 on that hook and lateral. 4th and 18. It took a miraculous trick play to tie it and get the first down. That doesnt happen again. Not to mention that INT he threw. Boise State wasnt exactly clicking on offense. They broke out every trick play they had. Oklahoma had driven the ball right down the field to tie it, got the 2 point conversion, then come out in OT and Adrian takes it to the house 1st play. Boise could not continue to go toe-to-toe it was now or never.
#4 - The advantage Oklahoma was going to have of Boise coming back on the field, potentially no scoring, then Okie could just kick a FG, and see how well Boise did.
