TOMMY BRUNSON
Not just your normal Pittsburgh-Cleveland AFC North clash this time around. For one thing, the Steelers have been big-time distracted with the hold-out of Le'Veon Bell and his contract demands, for another, the Browns are this season's "chic" team thanks to their cable TV appearance on "Hard Knocks" this season.
One thing for sure though, I do not see the scoring adding up to an Over at First Energy Stadium in the season opener. Especially with the field likely to be under water from the rain that is falling in Cleveland all day today.
The Browns allowed no more than 19-points in any of their 4 preseason games last month, as 3 of their 4 practice games held Under the total.
The Steelers did their fair share of scoring and allowing points too, but that is Mike Tomlin's preseason MO, so I won't put too much stock in those results. Instead, I will take Pittsburgh's 8-0-1 Under mark their last 9 road games out for a test drive today. Included is an Under last September in their series meeting in Cleveland. That puts the Under at 5 in a row in series games played in Cleveland between the division rivals. The Under is also 8-3 now the last 11 times these teams have played.
Throw in the Steelers having played Under in each of their last 5 September games, and the Brownies 11-2 Under run their last 13 games played at home, and we have the recipe for a Week One Under.
Steelers-Browns land Under one more time on Cleveland's field.
