Our comp play run stands at 30-13-3 the last 46 days.

Colorado has held the upper-hand in their in-state rivalry series with Colorado State, as the Buffaloes have won and covered the last pair of series meetings, and they have also won 6 of the last 8 meetings straight up.

While the line appears a bit high at first site, remember the Buffs were favored by 13 last year in Denver, and were able to cover, winning it 38-17.

We see more of the same today in Boulder, as State went just 1-4 against the spread last year as the road dog, and the Rams have also suffered a ton of graduations from last year's bowl-winning teams.

Colorado State returns just 4 starters on defense, and chances the Buffaloes big, deep and talented offensive line wear them down on defense seems to be only a matter of time.

Lay the wood, play on Colorado minus the points!

(925) BOSTON RED SOX
(926) CHICAGO WHITE SOX
Take "(925) BOSTON RED SOX"

It's a Sunday Sox matchup as the White and Red collide in Chicago. Unfortunately for the White Sox, their season is all over. They have also cleaned house, dealing away some big name players including Jim Thome to the Dodgers. However, the Red Sox are in a dog fight for the Wild Card slot in the AL playoffs. The Red Sox are two games up on Texas as both clubs have won six of their last 10 games. You can't count out Tampa Bay, who lurks six games back. Jon Lester gets the call for Boston. Lester was removed from Tuesday's start with stiffness in his groin, but insists he is fine. Lester hasn't given up more than three earned runs in any of his last six starts while striking out 48 compared to just 11 walks. John Danks starts for Chicago and is 12-8 on the season with a 3.82 ERA. Danks is just 1-3 lifetime against the Red Sox in four games with a 5.24 ERA. Looks like a fine pitching matchup here on Sunday, but the Red Sox are just too focused right now on winning the Wild Card to let this one slip away.

(929) SEATTLE MARINERS
(930) OAKLAND ATHLETICS
Take "(929) SEATTLE MARINERS"

Doug Fister continues to do a nice job for Seattle, and the Mariners are still playing solid ball, even though they're not going to make the playoffs. The A's send out Gio Gonzalez here, and his control issues figure to be a problem against a surprisingly patient Mariners offense. Seattle can handle average lefties, and I like their chances here.

Colorado St vs. Colorado Colorado
-10-110 at SIA > 9h.
COL -10: This rivalry takes center stage on Sunday Night! Dan Hawkins needs a win as he is supposedly on the hot seat. Well this is going to be a huge day as he will light up the scoreboard. His son and starting QB Cody Hawkins will play great and get a ton of help from one of the best RB's in CFB Darrell Scott. The offensive line will be solid and open up a ton of run lanes for Scott to dance thru.

On the other side COL ST is coming off a bowl win. But this team loses there QB and top two RB's from last year. If that was not enough they lose half there defensive starters. Athletically they will be up against it in Boulder tonight. A tough place to have to break in a new QB and two new O Lineman. Defense was not great last year so losing a bunch of starters might really spell trouble.

10 Pts is a ton for a rivalry game but after the initial emotions wears off the COL athletes will take over and pull away late. SCORE COL 33 - COLST 17

MLB Selection

Play on: Seattle over Oakland

This is one series where there has been real domination on the diamond as the Mariners are 14-3 versus the A’s. In addition, we find Seattle 6-2 in Oakland. On the other hand, Oakland is a horrific 7-19 in game #4 of a series and 1-4 versus winning baseball team.

Game: San Francisco Giants at Milwaukee Brewers Sep 6 2009 2:05PM
Prediction: Milwaukee Brewers
Reason: At 2:05 pm our complimentary selection is on the Milwaukee Brewers over the San Francisco Giants. The Brewers will try and prevent an embarrassing series sweep at the hands of the Giants this afternoon as San Francisco has taken the first two games of this three game set. It will be up to righthander Braden Looper to try and salvage this series and despite an ERA approaching five, Looper has been able to win the majority of his starts, going 11-6, while his opposing starter in this game, Jonathan O. Sanchez has the exact opposite record at 6-11. Looper is not a strikeout pitcher, so it's important that he keep his walks down, which he seems to be doing more lately. In six July starts, Looper walked 17 batters, but in six starts since then, he's only issued 11 free passes. Sanchez on the other hand definitely is a strikeout pitcher, but his problem has been consistency away from home. In 11 home appearances (ten starts), Sanchez is 4-2 with a 3.66 ERA, but in 15 outings on the road (13 starts) the lefthanded power pitcher is just 2-9 with a 4.54 ERA. Adding to these road woes is the fact that the Giants are 5-16 in Sanchez' last 21 road starts. Take the Brewers. As always, good luck...Al McMordie.

Game: Philadelphia Phillies at Houston Astros Sep 6 2009 2:05PM
Prediction: Philadelphia Phillies
Reason: **RUNS LINE RELEASE**

I'm laying the 1 1/2 runs with the Phillies with Hamels over Norris. The Phils have to be pleased with the pitching of Hamels of late. As they get closer to defending their title in this postseason, Hamels gets better. He hasn't allowed a single run in each of his last two starts. In fact, the lefthander has allowed a grand total of just six earned runs in his last four outings, to go along with 29 base runners in 28 innings. That's a red-hot, 1.93 ERA and 1.04 WHIP. Hamels has "punched-out" 22 hitters in his last three starts. Philly has dropped the first two games of this four game set, but get to take their swings at the struggling Bud Norris. The Houston hurler has been smacked for 21 earned runs and 39 base runners in his last four starts, spanning just 16 2/3 IP, for an 11.32 ERA and 2.34 WHIP. OUCH! Norris owns a 9.24 ERA, 2.14 WHIP, and .340 BAA in three home starts this season. Great spot for the visitor, and I'll gladly lay the 1 1/2 runs with the Phillies. Thanks! GL! Scott.

With a loss today, the Pirates will set a new record with their 17th-straight losing season. Back the St. Louis Cardinals and Joel Pineiro to send Pittsburgh into the record books.

The St. Louis Cardinals are sitting atop the NL Central while the Pirates are in last place in the division. The Cardinals don't have the division clinched just yet but playing a team that is in last place is a game they know they have to win to get one step closer to clinching the division.

St. Louis is 81-56 on the season and that has them leading the NL Central, 11.5 games up on the Cubs. The Cards are 40-18 in their last 58 games overall and in their last 53 games as a favorite they are 38-15. St. Louis has won 11 of their last 14 games vs. a lefthanded starter. The Cardinals are 6-1 in their last 7 home games and in their last 10 games as a road favorite they are 9-1.

St. Louis sends Joel Pineiro to the mound this afternoon and the Cardinals have won his last 11 starts. St. Louis is 7-0 in his last seven starts vs. a team with a losing record and 7-0 in his last seven road starts.

Pittsburgh has lost nine-straight games and sits 53-81 on the season. The Pirates are 16-38 in their last 54 games overall and 15-38 in their last 53 divisional games. In their last 27 games vs. a team with a winning record they are 7-20. In their last 59 games as an underdog the Pirates are 17-42.

The Bucs send Paul Maholm to the mound today and they have lost six of his last seven starts overall. The Pirates are 0-4 in his last four starts vs. a team with a winning record.

St. Louis has owned the Pirates over the years and this season they have won the last six games between the clubs. The Cardinals are a money making 55-24 in their last 79 trips to Pittsburgh. Pineiro has been pitching great all season long and today he'll be the difference yet again in a Cardinals win. Play on St. Louis.

Free Pick: St. Louis Cardinals -180

Sunday Mlb comp GC-

On Sunday the Bonus Play is on the Baltimore Orioles. Game 924 at 1:05 eastern. Home dogs off a one run win scoring 5 or more runs on 5+ hits are over .500, if they are taking on a road team off a one run loss as a road favorite and scored 4 or less runs. Over the last five years these home dogs have produced a nice little profit. Baltimore has righty J.Guthrie going today. While he has been subpar this year he has been real good of late. He has a 1.80 era, only allowing 4 runs in his last 20 innings. Texas has lefty Holland going today and he has been awful over his last 3 starts with a 10.68 era. He has allowed 16 runs in 9 innings over his last two outings. Look for Baltimore to get the rubber game of this series today. On the late phone front I have a big 85% College football, opening week system play on Sunday. In Mlb the lead play is a 100% 5 star totals system play. Dont miss these two powerful plays. Jump on and end your week on a positive note. For the Bonus Play take the Orioles.BOL GC-

2-0 Yesterday, he has been up and down lately

100♦ COLORADO - What is normally played in Denver, and will actually resume playing there next season, is being played in Boulder. Bad news for the Rams. One day after Texas A&M throttled New Mexico, it’ll be another Big 12 blowout of a Mountain West Conference foe. The Buffaloes are going to be dangerous on offense this season, with 10 starters back to the shotgun, no-huddle, spread attack.

And lest we forget, Dan Hawkins is at the helm of Colorado, and he came over from Boise, where there’s nothing less than offense. He’s got a big, strong offensive line with a slew of talent and experience. He’s also loaded at certain skill positions, so this won’t bode well for a defense that has just five starters back and ranked 96th in the nation overall last year.

The Buffs have a much improved rushing offense, and will do just that in this game – ramming it down the Rams’ throat from start to finish. But if I know Hawkins, he’ll throw some aerial display in there somewhere. Nevertheless, coming fast forward at a defense that lost its #2 and #3 tacklers from the linebacking crew is going to help me out with this play.

Add to all of that the fact I have the edge in the trenches and will be bringing a defensive front at a quarterback that is making his first road start in enemy territory … ugh, it’s not going to be pretty.

Lay the home chalk

Whats the other play?
