Are you a mindreader making ignorant comments like doubting her gets harassed like this often? How do you know? What's often? Is 2 times a week often? 2 times a month? Because I'd say once a year is too much and not acceptable. But this guy probably puts up with it once a day or a week or whatever. I would be on it. You don't know the country you live in.

The way he reacted, getting her fired and all - makes him part of the problem and not part of the solution. She made absolutely no racial comments, she was just trying to
protect where she lives.

Fuck him for getting her fired.

Maybe I missed that part. What did she do for a living?

She needed to learn the hard lesson. She brought it on herself. Having said that, if I'm her employer. I'm not firing her over this. That's absurd. Maybe I wouldn't be friends with her but I'm not firing her.

Still, not fuck him, fuck her for making this very bad decision. Lesson learned for her. The guy did nothing wrong but of course you found something to blame him for. Come on now.

Were you also frantically and desperately trying to research online and try to find some information about the story to discredit it or the gentleman involved?

Come on. She brought it on herself. It's too bad she lost her job though. That's way too severe but she made the bad decision. Should've stayed in her lane.

she worked for a real estate/ rental company. pretty much had to fire her for publicity. its not a fireable offense though imo. it could have been resolved without video, cops, or anything. just clsoe the door, show your fob, shake hands and say sorry i was mistaken. instead we have a whole new issue.

Ahh, I see. They had no choice but to fire her then. I would have too when you rely on a public image. If she worked a desk job or some office job etc she probably wouldn't have gotten fired. I think.

You're a mind reader? Then why was she so friendly to him once she realized he really did live there?

She was trying to make nice because she felt like an idiot. I think she truly believed there is no way this guy lives here.

Could be a ruse. She plays a perfect dumb bitch if it is. Years of practice I’m sure.

1. girl was out of line, if you really feel uncomfortable, stay in the lobby and call security

2. guy was out of line, if it's me, I shut the door and open the door with my fob proving I had a right to get into the building.

3. girl is probably a #metoo pussy hat wearer

The real estate company she worked for is also minority owned. Apparently, they own some nice places, but where they live isn’t one of them.

Yes

if you ever lived in a secure building you know what to do and just do it

It's weird to follow someone into a gym then to have them shut the door in your face simply so you have to run your fob over the sensor but we all know the deal. Call the police? For what?

I would never block someone from getting into the place they live and pay rent at. If someone ever tried to do that to me, I would be upset. Guy handled himself perfectly. Woman in that video is a piece of shit.

The theory that what she did was ok because of crime or safety is complete horseshit, because if she believed that at all, she wouldn't have made it into a physical confrontation, nor spent that much time alone with him.

What did she do wrong again? And why is he video taping it?

A "reasonable" person would close the door and use his own key. A "reasonable" man doesn`t needlessly extend this fruitless conversation and RECORD THE CONVERSATION.

There was nothing normal or reasonable about his behavior in my world. That's somebody looking to cause trouble for somebody, nothing about that was classy. What a crock of shit. His behavior during and after this event proves what his intent was

The woman was wrong too. She should not of stayed and taken part in some bullshit conversation . Close the door and tell him to use his own key and walk away.

We're a nation of victims and pussies and idiots, heaven help us

I don't think you even realized it...but you just asked and answered your question of "what did she do wrong again." She should have simply closed the door.

I don't think you would be thrilled if some black guy blocked you from getting into your building...then proceeded to ask you "what unit do you live in"...."lets see your key fob" etc.

I'd let that person close the door and then I'd enter the building with my own key. Would not think about it for two seconds.

Yes, she should have walked away. A much smaller crime then she's being accused of. Suffice to say the man was anything but classy. The polar opposite is more accurate

So who's ghost is this new guy?

That's what some people don't get. It's easy to judge and say certain things but until you walk in their shoes we don't know what they go through. One thing if you're dressed like a thug, baggy jeans, bandanna, hoody over your head, (whether your white or black) but another thing when you're dressed like a gentleman, behave like a gentleman but since you're skin is black you get treated a different way at times. That's gotta get to you.

You're welcome to walk in my shoes any day, but they might not fit you. I can't recall the last time I was harassed due to my skin color. In fact, the only ones that harrass me on an ongoing basis are Willie and Dave (but they know I like it). According to Dave, I'm his Negro friend.

She is 100% wrong in what she did & anyone who thinks otherwise is a complete idiot. I have dealt with stupid idiots like this before in NYC & it definitely is a racial thing. I have seen this play out many times and it always seems to be a white person doing it to a non-white person yet won't question a fellow white when they could.

Sadly none of this surprises me. We just recently had a vase in NYC where a woman called the cops on a kid claiming she was sexually harassed when she was leaning over and his bookbag grazed her butt. Like seriously you know when you are sexually assaulted versus something quickly brushing up against you. Of course the kid was not white.

And btw, road2perdition,

Most secured buildings and workplaces have rules against "tailgaiting", which is what this guy did. Two simple solutions here, but it's ridiculous that the news goes national with this nonsense.

1) The guys lets her close the door and then uses his FOB to get in, or

2) Guy doesn't do that, and the woman can call the police if she wants or reports it to the building management (I'm sure they had their own close circuit video camera at the door and would have been able to identify that the guy lived in the building). And then they should issue him a warning for violating the rules of the building (assuming "tailgaiting" is against the rules and I suspect it would be).

What did she do wrong again?

She physically blocked him from getting into his apartment. She then followed all the way to where he lived. It would be wrong for a black man to do that to a white woman. And it is wrong for her to do that to him.

That's fair but that doesn't excuse the bitch for following him around and persisting. It's not her job and she should know her role. Also, it's for her own good. If he was an intruder she could've been fucked up. She is a dumb bitch from all angles.

This, she's 110% right for not allowing him to tailgate, which I'm sure would be a violation of property rules. The totally classless man who recorded this incident is wrong, and making trouble for her for not breaking the rules he evidently thinks don't apply to him makes him a scumvag.

I can't believe the stupid shit some people swallow whole without reflex
