miamiman - Before you make a statement like that I suggest you read the 2nd post I made in this thread.

I don't have it in for Royal but their CEO is a big baby and is trying to stop freedom of speech in this OPEN FORUM.

He keeps harrasing my buddy and wants Intuition Bet to STOP posting in this forum.

But he is too much of a coward to explain to everyone in this forum WHY.

Dante: you misunderstood - the reason I wanted the Rx opinion was because you guys SHOULD have opinions, being here day in and day out and knowing these parties better than I do. I said mods because I thought saying Rx owner and employees sounded weird. I honestly was asking for your input - no need to be defensive.

Firstly Jazz no one is getting defensive if me not agreeing with you is defensive to you then thats on you. I was not.

I am sorry jazz but you telling me I SHOULD have an opinion is not correct I can or I can not have an opinion anytime . Being a mod does not mean I HAVE to have an opinion on something Just as you being a knowlegable poster mean to me that you *MUST* have an opinion on something. .. I gave my opinion that if this is going on its wrong...

Well it looks like Spiros will look into the matter.

Spiros has a good moral compass and should do the right thing ( although it may be a bit late after 4 weeks of foots) here.

Let's leave these guys to settle their bills between themselves.

Agree with JC, let's hope since the ball is rolling the two sides will work this out.

As for the mods I do not think Jazz was intending to come across in a negative way. In fact I took it as a compliment. As a rule mods are present to moderate the forum, not necessarily pick and choose sides on issues. Ideally the goal is to stay in the middle so it's easier to be fair and impartial. Now having said that in actuality it is rarely the case, when you lead discussions and spend long hours here you are bound to form opinions on things. I believe Jazz was just seeking that out, don't think he was being malicious in any way. Sometimes we do have a thought we want to share, sometimes we don't. Thanks for asking for mine.

You're correct, Pat, and thanks for seeing that. I did not have any ill intentions. If I had, there would have been no doubt whatsoever - I can speak plainly enough when necessary. I just didn't think it came across that way, but from Dante's reaction, I guess it did. I've seen opinions on other matters from mods and Ken, strong ones too, and I simply wanted to know if any were had. If not, no harm in asking.

I deliberately waited to see if Spiros would respond becaue it is always better to hear both sides of the story before rendering an opinion.

Since Spiros hasn't replied, I will share my 2 cents...

Based on the facts that have been presented, here we go...

For a NEW sports book (BetJamaica), to spam existing customers from the parent sports book (Royal), is not only wrong, but probably ILLEGAL...

Although I am not an attorney, this sounds like it may fit under the category of "tortious interference of contract law."

Let's use Las Vegas as an example and present an analogy...

Imagine if most of the employees at the Venetian Hotel left the Venetian to go open up a new sports book, which is related to the Bellagio.

However, instead of just leaving the Venetian, and opening up on its own merit (As a new sister book of the Bellagio), these guys "STOLE" the entire database from the Venetian!!!

Then, they call up virtually ALL of the high rollers, slot machine addicts, and everyone else on the list without the consent of anyone and misrepresent themselves by assuring the gambler they are still really the parent company with simply a new name and location ....

In conclusion, the behavior that has been exhibited by Spiros and his new BetJamaiica sports book appears to be not only wrong, & alarming, but illegal and unacceptable.

Please don't forget that there are 2 sides to every story and I haven't heard the other...
