Soriano had no choice in what he made this year...he was arbitration eligible and his contract was decided by an arbiter and he had to abide by what they decided for him....He lost that case and still made the most money ever through arbitration (10 million). I also believe this was done before he was even traded or while he was in the process of being traded this winter. I'm on soriano's side actually in all this...it's not about money.....and again, i bet a lot that if they asked jose vidro to play OF that he would also say F-U, trade me now.Tulsa said:Did he sign a contract? If he didn't then no problem here. He did and he needs to abide by the signed agreement. I can understand his position here, but it is not much of a position if his contract didn't specify player demands such as this....
Get out in the field and hustle your ass off. Then the next contract you have made up, make sure you include your demands as a player. tulsa

many teams would take soriano in a heartbeat...trade him for some great young talent to build your future on...this guy would be gone in a year anyway so get what you can out of him since you traded 3 players for him. easy for outsiders to say fuck him, he's conceded, etc... and not pay him...the NATS should've never made the deal in the 1st place...atleast go get a quality arm or 2 out of him.spanky49 said:they are going to finish last with or without him,so fuck him and sit him w/opay and save 10 million.:finger:

WVU said:I am not sure that requiring an infielder to play outfield is a "reasonable" request. If you worked in sales at a car lot and they requested that you work in the autoshop would that be "reasonable"? It may be apples and oranges but not from his line of thinking.

And I'm too bitter about this punk bitch to comment. I can't stand selfish players...and the fact that he doesn't realize how much he sucks at 2B yet refuses to work on his craft pisses me off even more. No dedication to defense whatsoever.
But uh, maybe we'll have another miracle summer. LETS GO NATS
Again tulsa...does this make much sense? Trade 3 players for a player you want to sit and not pay?? Should've never made the deal and should look to deal him to someone else and get some great young talent for him!Tulsa said:. I am also happy that the nationals never have to pay him for not acting on a request to play baseball. It's pretty basic to me. tulsa
