the more i think about it now...Indiana is in. 9-7 in #1 conference. They don't even need a win tomorrow.

one thing in Florida St's favor- I believe this is right, the head of the comittee is the AD from Virginia. He might be partial to ACC and FSU buried Virginia in both meetings, games this guy probably watched.

Also dont forget, FSU lost their other game vs Duke at Duke by one point in overtime where the refs completely stole the game from them. tough to leave out a 9-7 ACC team which should be 10-6 and 2-0 vs Duke

I felt the same way a few years ago when UVA finished 9-7 in the ACC...and at that point, no ACC team in the history of the NCAA tournament that finished with a winning ACC record had been left out.

UVA was left out. The end.

Florida St will have to wait and see when the brackets come out. they are a textbook bubble team. they may or may not make it. you can make a case each way

Alot of faith in that acc biased comtee, huh? Good luck with that. Who do they have next Wisconsin or OhioSt?

all you are looking at is total record, that isn't greatly important. It's about who you've played, who you've beat. Just because IU has only played 27 games so far to some teams 30 isn't a reason to penalize them. They are 9-7 in the #1 ranked conference in America. They have won 4 strait. They played 4 true road games in non-conference.

My point is "The Commitee" is not apt to place a team in with only 17 wins. Now one more time, the Big 10 is NOT the #1 conference, they are a solid #3 behind BigEast and ACC, sorry.

What you are stating is an opinion. I am stating a fact, the Big Ten is the #1 ranked conference in RPI and in Sagarin. ACC is #3. Teams have gotten in with less than 17 wins.

there have been plenty of 17 and less win teams selected to the dance. I think the conference is way overrated though. They are on the outside of the bubble IMO

Indiana vs the RPI top 50: 6-7
Florida St: 2-5
Seton Hall:5-4

Florida St has a non conf SOS of 317
Indiana:113

Florida St has played 14 games outside the top 100
Indiana only 11, Steon Hall 12

Only 13 teams in the country have more top 50 wins than Indiana
51 teams in the country have more top 50 wins than Florida St

Indiana has more road wins
Indiana has played more top 50 teams than everyone in the nation besides 8 teams.

I have watched college hoops over the past 25 years and I trust my own 2 eyes. The Big East TOWERS over the Big 10 - I don't care what the RPI says.

I don't get these RPI ratings... Big east is the best conference this year. I don't care what they rate higher. The big east second tier teams of WV, Pitt, and Gtown would finish extremly high in any conference.

Would Missouri State be favored over Cinci, Seton Hall, FSU, or Maryland at a neutral site? I doubt it...
