Disappointing end to a very profitable tournament. VA played their very best game of the tournament and needed it all to win this thing. Guy and Hunter shot lights out, while Culver sucked and made a bunch of bad decisions (should have driven the ball more, like at the end of regulation)

I was pleasantly surprised with how the game played out, especially after such a slow start. Props to Virginia to playing a great game, and to hitting big shots when it mattered most in this tournament-- overcoming their traditional choking bug. That's usually how you win this thing. They needed every bit of it to beat Texas Tech, who I still think is the better of the two teams.

No one is arguing that the "hot" team is not factored into capping a game. But when a team being "hot" is your only reason for picking a team you are going to end up on the losing side more times than not.
UVA was the better team. No question about it. They are national champs, period.
Any argument otherwise is just sour grapes from someone who fell for the "hot" team angle. They lost their money and are mad grasping for an excuse as to why they lost.
