Who is asking for a parade? How many great qb' have their been? My goodness, elway got blown out in playoffs and super bowls for a decade and many still comsidered great. Dan Marino ring a bell. Might not wanna get caught up in just super bowl wins....trent dilfer has 1 and marino has 0. And we all know every gm would take Luck 1 or 2 right now if the nfl held a draft.

nobody is saying Dilfer or Brad Johnson was great.. Elway wasn't great after 3 years..hardly anyone is

Red Eye / Defying, I agree with most of your opinions that I see posted but I think you guys are missing the boat on Luck. I don't think there's any question whatsoever that he's already Top 5, I'd put him in the Top 3. Making it to the AFC Championship this season with this Colts roster is quite an accomplishment. He reminds me quite a bit of Elway who took many terrible Bronco teams to Super Bowls and deep into the playoffs despite having less talent (and worse coaching) than the opposition. It wasn't until the twilight of his career that he got his rings because he was finally on an even playing field in regards to overall team talent and coaching. It takes more than a QB to go all the way.

He hasn't been anything special in the playoffs as a whole. Even in your KC game he threw 3 INTs. He's a solid QB but he's still a guy who owns a QB ratings of 70.8 in the playoffs with 9 TDs vs 12 INTs and a 56% completion percentage.

A little tougher to complete balls when the defense knows you have to throw and your own defense has put you in a huge hole. Nobody is saying he is tom brady but he is a great qb. I consider the top 7 or so great...and he is in that group.

Your "something" is too high a bar. His first 3 years have been the definition of great and guys like him don't regress. Hopefully the colts get him some other pro players. Don't let winning the super bowl be the definition of "doing something" because it isn't. Great players that haven't won a super, an nba title or world series are everywhere throughout sports history.

I think top 7 is fair, but I don't believe the top 7 are all great.

Indy, like NE, has benefited by getting to play 6 games a year against the teams in their crappy division.
