Why would I pay someone with no brains thousands of dollars for filling out a few pieces of paper for a few minutes?

I expect this industry to fall this decade like the travel industry has fallen. Real estate agents are as worthless as travel agents.

There is a huge need for a eBay/Amazon type of Real Estate website. Until then I will gladly purchase through the government at auction.

In most, not all cases i'm getting my money from the customer, depending on which state I'm also recovering my lawyers fees. Total sum does not equate to breaking even for the time and energy spent. I get the satisfaction of seeing someone lose that thinks they can get over. My business is thriving despite the legal costs. Barman stick to cutting grass and let you're family handle debate and letigation.

Best Buy's "geek squad"

This has to be one of the biggest consumer ass rape sessions out there

best buy is a laugh! i was with a friend who went there to buy a lap top for his daughter. the salesman justified the price with-its loaded with all this good stuff already. He bought it. She tried using it and was slower than slow. He took it back. A Geek Guy told him it was slow cause it was loaded with all this "needless" crap. (which was the selling point). They then proceeded to offer to remove it for a fee. Meanwhile 10 feet away same salesman using same pitch on a woman. I went off on them and they got it right. NO CHARGE. I created a scene. I gathered a crowd. But how many do they suck into that abyss

theres a telemarketing firm in nashville that raises money for breast cancer awareness. out of all donations only 1% goes to breast cancer, 99% to overhead.

they also call for police,fireman,veterans. all get around 15% of the actually funds raised

that the avg, for tele-fund-raising 15-20%. Check United Way. Check em all. same same same

I am busier than ever. This industry wont be "falling" anytime soon.

In all honesty I have heard people complain before about RE agents. I really could care less, as I deal with the government and financial institutions. I am a specialty broker that deals in the REO business. I rarely deal with the avarage homebuyer. I list for the bank and sell mostly to investors.
