This is a funny story and sad story...I've been in New Jersey dealing with the death of my mom. She passed away on Memorial day and I've been there for the last few weeks. She was an avid horse player during her life and loved the ponies. Her favorite number was 8, so naturally she had both the Derby and Preakness. Before she passed she told me to bet the 8 horse in the Belmont before the post positions were announced...probably the first time I listened to her in over 45 years...Thanks mom, you will be missed.

great story. Wish you would have posted that before the race, I definitely would've dropped some on 8.

My sincere condolences to you and your family on the loss of your mother. She is surely smiling down upon you as you did what she asked and she rewarded you for following that last bit of advice. May peace be with her and you as well.
