Agreed, painful loss but I thought it was the right bet - I almost took it as well because Matt Moore has been one of the top ten pitchers in baseball the past month or two, while you and I both love Henderson Alvarez. That was a rough break - there were two outs and no one on before the hit by pitch, and then that guy scoring on a fluke double. Seen so many of those unusual losses this year.
Hope the Cards hold on for you. A 1-1 day is nothing special by our standards of course, but ending it with a win does wonders for confidence heading into the next day (If you choose to keep going Friday, which I sincerely hope you do)
And I look forward to following your football threads. I find it interesting you excel in Monday night games because I think the opposite - I think MNF games are a bit tougher, due to there usually being so many more variables to deal with than the typical NFL game on Sunday at 1 o'clock, plus the spectacle that is Monday Night Football is probably the greatest tradition in sports, making said Monday night games such a huge deal to players mentally, since they know the entire country is watching. I don't normally take Monday night games myself, but I might tail you every Monday night just to have weekly action myself.
Thanks Cat, actually had Zona too, they won, posted it in another thread though. So 2-1 night, just slowly gaining a little back. As for MNF, you are right, it is completely different from every other game and has to be treated as such, but there are things, because of that fact, trends if you will, that work ONLY for MNF, which is why I have always been good at it. I hope it works out this year.
