First off, I never liked him. But he Was a great player... Not the Greatest IMO ...Still think Jack was....
Anyway, you are right. The guy is a Mess ! I also think he is in a delusional state of mind. but that's besides the point.
Should he retire ?? probably Not, but I really think he needs Time off.
Its not about not winning a major , its about winning anything now. I have to believe this is a mental thing now. He could be going down the same route at Duval, etc. I hope not, but it has to enter your mind
i see what your saying.....but its totally different, duval and tiger dont compare much at all. tiger KNOWS how to win, thats why hes done it 92 times. duval was good for a couple years, thats it. tigers doesnt have near as far to come back from as duval did
Jack Nicklaus should have retired early too....His first slump lasted 12 majors, from the middle of 1967-his sixth year on tour-to the middle of 1970. His second slump lasted 10 majors. He went all through 1976 and 1977 and through the first two majors of '78 without winning a big one.....
And he played all the Majors....Tiger has been absent from the field due to injury/bangin ho's
If you follow the timeline that many of the past PGA players have had who have been injured and comeback, including Toms and Stricker, I'm betting that it's going to be at least a couple more years before Tiger gets it all figured out, and he feels comfortable with whatever swing he finally decides on. I'm personally not a big fan of this latest swing change attempt..
