First off, I never liked him. But he Was a great player... Not the Greatest IMO ...Still think Jack was....

Anyway, you are right. The guy is a Mess ! I also think he is in a delusional state of mind. but that's besides the point.

Should he retire ?? probably Not, but I really think he needs Time off.

Complete DITTO from me on ALL of the above.....................

Man I'm surprised with all the No's. Thought it would be 50/50.
This can't be fun for him. When you're at the top for so long, and now
have to deal with all this crap day in day out. I would think at this pace
he will retire by the end of next year if not earlier.

He doesn't look nearly as cut as before. He was taking some good juice
2,3,4 years ago.
Omt missed it. Congrats.

Where is VD coming in saying he is going to win again?

The guy is done, I mean, come on, it's obvious.

The Bengals win a playoff game before he wins another major

He will win again.....something that the Bengals will never do in the next four years....

Its not about not winning a major , its about winning anything now. I have to believe this is a mental thing now. He could be going down the same route at Duval, etc. I hope not, but it has to enter your mind

i see what your saying.....but its totally different, duval and tiger dont compare much at all. tiger KNOWS how to win, thats why hes done it 92 times. duval was good for a couple years, thats it. tigers doesnt have near as far to come back from as duval did

Just for the record, David Duval was diagnosed and suffered from vertigo which totally wrecked his game. He was never in Tiger's class but didn't just lose his game for no reason at all.

Tiger just needs to play a couple rounds with Charles Barkley to make him feel better about his game.

I'm not comparing their careers at all. Just saying that Tiger's issues are now more mental and sometimes those are hard to overcome, despite how talented he is. Life changes, sometimes its out of your control how your brain operates.

Jack Nicklaus should have retired early too....His first slump lasted 12 majors, from the middle of 1967-his sixth year on tour-to the middle of 1970. His second slump lasted 10 majors. He went all through 1976 and 1977 and through the first two majors of '78 without winning a big one.....

And he played all the Majors....Tiger has been absent from the field due to injury/bangin ho's

A major slump by Jack was one thing, but I don't think anyone on this forum can say Jack looked anywhere near as bad as Tiger is looking , and not even being a threat when he teed it up. Jack was always a threat !

If you follow the timeline that many of the past PGA players have had who have been injured and comeback, including Toms and Stricker, I'm betting that it's going to be at least a couple more years before Tiger gets it all figured out, and he feels comfortable with whatever swing he finally decides on. I'm personally not a big fan of this latest swing change attempt..

He lives to break Jacks record. Not saying he'll do it but it wasn't that long ago he was playing well - not to his record breaking standard but playing well enough for everyone to think he'll win at some point soon.

His form in the PGA and recent events is obviously a concern and the two factors that stick out are his injuries and his new coach. Now he looked healthy in the PGA and maybe he hasn't got used to swinging with a healthy body but to me it looks more like he looks messed up in the head with this new swing. He has never been a robot swing and Foley just isn't the right match for Woods. He needs to beg to get back with Harman (unlikely he'd take him back) or to Haney as at least they know his game and he has that history of knowing he was a class apart with them.

If that doesn't work he should either have no coach or someone who just lets him be and works with his natural swing - can't be any worse than he's doing presently.

As for the rest of the season he should just play wherever and as much as possible. Fall Series, Europe, Asia, Australia wherever. He needs reps badly.

I'm kind of with those that say Golf is what you do when you retire ( if you can afford it).

face it Golf is not the NFL. A guy in his 50's could win a major or finish high. If you can consistently finish like 30th, you'll make some nice coin.

I don't Golf but this isn't like Boxing or football, etc. It's more physical than chess or billiards, but there are probably 5 handicap guys that are 70+.
