Just for fun, going to see how these do in the NBA as CBB was no good.

Below is the Statfox Power ratings (giving 3 pts to the home teams) and comparing them to the actual (Bookmaker) line. In BOLD is the Play and Projected Cover over the line. I'm just curious to see how these do.

Milwaukee Bucks +9.5 100 5.5
Orlando Magic 104

Toronto Raptors -1 97 3
Indiana Pacers 93

Memphis Grizzlies +10
98 1
Cleveland Cavaliers 107

Detroit Pistons 87
New Jersey Nets +2.5 85 0.5

Atlanta Hawks 97
Oklahoma City Thunder -1 104 6

Los Angeles Clippers 88
Chicago Bulls -8 100 4

Golden State Warriors +7 92 2
Houston Rockets 97

There is something here but you are going about it wrong. Reverse the thinking! For example, Orlando is off the number by 5.5? Ask yourself why? Anything off the number by 2 or more needs to be questioned. Orlando will roll Milwaukee tonight! Indiana opened -1 and move toward the number of 4 leaving it still off by 3! Indiana wins outright tonight! Finally, Oklahoma City should be -7? They are only -1? Atlanta wins outright!!! Watch how this works out! I also lean to the Clippers as well! Good Luck!

Well, it worked out ok! Basically, 3-1 with Atlanta having a chance and blew it at the end! You will find these are "trends" and will go hot and cold. However, the bookmakers are very sharp and also know it changes it seems every 3-5 days. Can't explain it but that is why they call it gambling. However, if you pay attention to the power ratings and compare the lines, specifically, Cris and Pinnacle you will find a story everyday! LOL....Good Luck in the future. I will check in now and then with my feedback if you keep it going. It does work for college as well. However, college and NBA tend to be "opposite" each other. Meaning, in the NBA you often find teams of a lesser power rating favored and as long as there is not large "steam" causing this situation (another story for another time) then you have a "wrong team favored" and the Dog wins outright more times than not! They come around 1-3 times a week. In college just the opposite but only for the better teams( not the toledo or New orleans of the world) when you find a team with a lower power rating favored they often win and cover but almost always win( moneyline)! The most recent one I remember was sunday Miami bet Virgina tech pretty handily! Remember, this is a game of "most of the time" not "All of the time". Good Luck!~

Thank you very much for the insight!

With only 3 overnight lines on the board right now, only one stands out, and thats the Chicago +2 at Philly game. Current SF power rating (waiting on update), shows Chic 97/Philly 96. A possible case of the wrong team being favored.

Yes, it "appears" there may be an opportunity with this game. However, remember I talked of "steam" moves etc....well based on my small amount of experience(25 years)LOL and a few other things I have become aware of over this time. BE VERY CAREFUL with this one today! The WTF( not what the fuck)Lol games are best when there is not alot of "noise" about the game. At the basic level watch the forum. Take a few of the sharper guys and make sure they are not moving on Philly. I am not sure who those guys might be as I have not been around the forum for some time. However, you get it! Also, don't throw out other information such as, "Chicago is not very good on the road." Weigh everything you can gather to come up with the selection and use the Power Ratings as one of those tools. However, a little more insight before I go...... IMHO all the "handicapping" people make so much noise about is in the lines, isn't it???? Lines are generally derived from the Power Ratings, correct? The issue is there are many different Power Ratings and most can be used in different ways so you just got to stay open and PAY ATTENTION! The bookmakers do most of the work for you! Just figure out what they are telling you! Good Luck today! I'll check in later and tell you whether I think Chicago should be played today! I am not right all of the time, just "most of the time". Take care

One other thing, remember the Power ratings change everyday based on winning and losing. Generally, not always they go up 1-2 points with a win and a cover depending on the competition and stay the same with a win and no cover and go down 1 with a loss. So it is likely Chicago will go down and that will affect things!

The power ratings changed a little, but it affected Chicago (dropped them from 97 to a 95) into a no-play. A couple line's a little different than yours but still a play. Here's the breakdown's:

I don't post my plays on a regular basis so take it for what you will but
I will win more than I lose. Remember, in gambling......Most of the technique's don't work, most of the time! But they all work some of the time! You just have to know when....so you better have a whole bunch!!!! lol Food for thought! Again...Good Luck to you!

That will happen but like all trends it will eventually come back in the 50/50 range. As I said b4 it is being able to get on and off at the right times. Overtime if you track and pay attention you begin to see the patterns. Good Luck.....What I went with initially I think was 2-3 or 3-3 need to check San antonio cuz I fell asleep! LOL not sure, I know my stuff was 5-3 going 4-0 on my strength which is totals for a nice night personally.....But watch it and you will see the patterns. Good Luck
