If public is all over ECU, shouldn't line be higher instead of lower? :think2:
If you see more public on one side (say 70+%), but the line going the other way....its the sharps laying BIG DOUGH on the other side forcing it the opposite way.
Didnt we c this same phenomenon on Monday with the Texas.Ohio state game??? Public on Texas, sharps on OSU.
Whenever you see this scenario ALWAYS back the sharps....it hits 70+% I would say at least

hno:A lot of times it's the books, not sharps. The books will intentionally move a line the other way if they think the other side is going to cover, even though the money is coming in the other way. That way they entice even more people to take that side, and they make a killing when the "public" side fails to cover. It's called a "false line move" or "steam."
Little correction. "Steam" is heavy money going on one side, not necessarily in a reverse line move. When RAS releases totals picks and the line moves 3-4 points it is an example of steam.
