Indian Cowboy 6/9/09

EARLY RELEASE - WAS RELEASED YESTERDAY.....still waiting on his 4 unit regular play for MLB today - He is passing on the WNBA today.

INDIAN COWBOY: PLAY OF THE DAY: LA LAKERS vs ORLANDO MAGIC

Play: 6 Unit Play. #706. Take the Orlando Magic -4 over the LA Lakers (Tuesday @ 9pm est). (POD) Comments: 6 Unit Play. #706. Take the Orlando Magic -4 over the LA Lakers (Tuesday @ 9pm est). Why wait for a good thing? Let's go ahead and step out on the Orlando Magic for Tuesday as these two teams travel on Monday. Look, the Magic made drastic improvements in Game 2 compared to their 25 point pummeling they took at the hands of the Lakers in Game 1. This team showed a lot of pride playing great defense, hanging in there and even having a shot to win the game at the buzzer in regulation. Why could this team not feed on that momentum and take it to the Lakers - the same team they beat in Staples in the regular season. I actually think the Magic are likely
to win Game 3 and Game 4 and will take this series back to LA where
this baby should come down to a best of 3 series after they are tied
2-2. Nevertheless, the Magic have been good to me in big games as if you remember we hit a 8* on them when they defeated the Cavs to move on to the Eastern Conference Finals. We have ridden the Magic train quite often this year and in the playoffs. I love Stan Van Gundy as he reminds me of the Pillsbury doughboy all grown up. The point being is that he is a helluva coach and I will bank on the crowd, Lewis, Howard and Hedo the "Turkeyglue" showing up big. This is the same team that was solid all regular season, did win at Staples earlier in the year, beat the defending champ Boston Celtics, not to mention beating the Celtics in beating the Celtics in Boston in Game 7 when they were +2 dogs as 78% of the public took a bloodbath and defeated the team with the best regular season record + best player in the league in Lebron. Hence, I will take the Magic to likely win by around 9-11 points in this contest. The Lakers are 1-13 ATS in their last 14 NBA Championship Games and the Magic are 8-2 ATS in their last 10 home games.

Arizona - San Diego 2 Plays Total Risk 1.5 Units
San Diego (Peavy) -1.5 Runs (+135) / Arizona (Garland) 10:05 ET 1 Unit
Parlay: San Diego -170 / Arizona & Under 7.5 Runs (-120) Risk 0.5/Unit to win 0.95/Unit
After yesterday's marathon 18 inning game, both pens are depleted so alot will be asked of these starters. Jake Peavy can go the distance as he's done in the past, especially since he's coming off of going just 1 inning and 33 pitches in his last start due to a viral infection. Also, neither team will be so quick to pinch hit for the pitcher in middle inning scoring situations. In the end, we feel Garland will be gone by the 7th or 8th and the Padres will get to the D'Back BP (what's left of it) as they have with such success in the past.

Oakland (Outman) -140 / Minnesota (Swarzak) 10:05 ET 1.25 Units

-End

WUNDERDOG TOTAL FOR HOCKEY GAME

Game: Detroit at Pittsburgh (8:05 PM Eastern)
Pick: Game Total OVER 5.5 -110

The Pittsburgh Penguins battled back from a 2-0 deficit and got the series even. They are now faced with the ultimate battle - one of elimination. What they have not been able to do on the road in this series, they have done very well with at home and that is score. The Penguins hung a pair of fours on the Red Wings at home. But in three road games, they have produced just two goals all together. The story has been the same for the Red Wings who are allowing virtually nothing in 11 home playoff games - just 1.5 goals per game. They have not been anything near that on the road where they have allowed twice as many goals per game, and it has led to them playing seven of their last eight games OVER as a road dog. The Penguins have cashed five of their last six as a home favorite to the OVER as well. I like this one to go OVER the total.

WUNDERDOG 1ST HALF NBA PLAYOFFS PICK

Game: Los Angeles Lakers at Orlando (9:00 PM Eastern)
Pick: First Half UNDER 97.5 -110

One thing is clear about the oddsmakers in this series. They set the first 200+ NBA Finals total in 14 years. Looking at the first two games, they haven't even been in the ballpark. This has been a defensive playoffs for both teams (Lakers 14-6 UNDER and Magic 12-9 UNDER) and it's a defensive series, with both teams having trouble finding matchup advantages, negated by the others ability to adjust. We have yet to see either team be able to make separation, and that is because of the defense. The Lakers are going to come out strong defensively to try and control the crowd, and Orlando will come out fired up on the defensive end because they know a loss here and they are done. The last game saw the same thing, and just 75 first-half points scored. Orlando is 22-9 UNDER this season in the first-half when revenging a loss. They are 15-5 UNDER in the first half after allowing 100+ points in back-to-back games. This season, against winning teams, the Lakers are 33-23 UNDER in the first half while Orlando is 31-19 UNDER. I expect the signature of the first two games to carry over to this game and for this one to go UNDER in the first half too.

All Pro Picks - Junkman Sports

LOS ANGELES (AL)+123

Weaver is 2-0 with a 1.35 ERA his last 3 outings and is 2-0 lifetime vs Tampa. The Rays are coming off a grueling series with the Yankees and are only 5-7 in Shields' starts. Rays have been decimated by injuries, and are 4-6 vs. the AL West, while the Angels are 10-6 vs. Eastern clubs. LA is already adjusted to the time zone change, and is well-rested, having had a day off yesterday, while Tampa's bullpen has been taxed lately. We look for Weaver to take it right to the depleted Rays' lineup.

ANGELS +123 is the ALL PRO PICKS Play of the Day.

rdssports at it again

As I posted on May 28, rds had the Wings as a top play in the series -150/160 for 1.25* (1.5* is as high as he goes). Has picked the first 5 home teams in the series for anywhere from .2* to 1* ALL winners. Last year he was the only major tout to have the Wings in game 6 as everyone else was on the Pens. Last game his post was "if you believe in me and the Wings, and have them large in the series, they have to have game 5 and will win, take them for 1/2 your series bet". Tonights release in a nutshell is Wings +120 for only .5*, if we lose a little, we bang them hard again in game 7, if we win we have point/ match/set! I'm on it, Bill
