ADAM MEYER - ADAMWINS.COM (My script runs through the end of March due to a promotional game Adam lost earlier in the year)

Miami Heat (-3.5 Points) vs. Detroit Pistons
Facing the reeling Pistons should be the right tonic for the Heat tonight. Detroit has lost 15 of 20 games since January 10th.Detroit is just 2-5 ATS in its last 7 games in Miami. Too much South Beach may be the problem-plus a poor offensive showing. The Pistons are 3-10-1 ATS in their last 14 overall meetings with the Heat. The Heat have played well at home this year.

Los Angeles Lakers (-4 Points) (FIRST HALF ONLY) vs. Oklahoma City
The Lakers have shown a tendency to get out to big leads early in games against weaker opposition and then fend them off, usually having a difficult time covering big lines in the end. They like to get out early to quiet the road crowd and discourage the other team. The Thunder cannot handle Pau Gasol in the low post-and no one can handle Kobe Bryant!

LSU (-3 Points) vs. Florida
The Gators are just 3-5 on the road while LSU is a sparkling 18-1 at home. LSU boasts one of the best 0ne-two punches in all of college basketball-Marcus Thornton and Tasmin Mitchell. Together they score 37.3 PPG. LSU plays a stingy defense and will win at home because of that and the aforementioned two star players.

1500* - Detroit Pistons, 500* - Ohio State Buckeyes It has been ugly in Detroit these days, as the Pistons take a monster 6-game losing streak into Miami for Tuesday's game against the Heat.

Call me crazy, but I have a feeling that Detroit may just end their skid tonight against the inconsistent Miami Heat.

The fact we are catching a couple of baskets gives us a bit of a safety net should the skid move to 7 in a row.

Miami is just 3-5 straight up their last 8, and they have dropped 2 of their last 3 when laying points.

Detroit is still 13-12 against the spread on the road, while Miami is only 12-15-1 against the spread at home this season.

Series numbers show the Pistons having won 6 straight, and 7 of the last 8 during the regular season.

Have to grab the points here, and look for the sliding Pistons to save some face.

1500♦ - Detroit Pistons

Cork, did he have a good writeup for PSU?...and thanks!

White-hot LSU will easily cover this small number at home against a young Florida team that hasn’t proven itself on the road and is facing its first ranked opponents of the season tonight. The Bayou Bengals have won 11 consecutive SEC games on the scoreboard and are averaging 96.4 ppg in those victories. They lead the SEC in rebounding and will control the glass against a Florida team that has lost the rebounding battle in five consecutive games and is giving up 78.3 ppg. LSU, which has won eight straight overall and is 2-0 SU/ATS as a home chalk of 3 ½ to 6 points this year, is an experienced (five seniors and one junior in the top-seven), strong, physical, athletic team that has posted double-digit victories in each of the past two years versus the Gators as Florida (starts three sophomores and three freshmen are first subs off the bench) just doesn’t match-up well in this rivalry. In winning by a dozen last year in Gainesville in a game that was dominated by LSU, the Tigers have now taken five of the last seven meetings straight-up.

Florida had 14 turnovers in its weekend home win over Vandy, and LSU forces a lot of turnovers and is capable of exploiting Gator miscues into transition points. The Gators lost at lowly Georgia the last time on the highway and have also been blasted at Tennessee and lost at South Carolina. They’re just 3-3 SU and 2-4 ATS in their last six overall and they’ll have little answer inside for forward Tasmin Mitchell and outside for senior guard Marcus Thornton. The Tigers have also gotten back steady point guard Bo Spencer from an ankle injury. Nick Calathes is rebounding from illness for the Gators and on a Mardi Gras night when a Tiger win will clinch a share of the SEC regular season championship, look for LSU to roll and be celebrating big time as they win this by at least a dozen points and most likely many more.
