Arizona +146 over SAN FRANCISCO: (Added) The Diamondbacks are 4-1 in Davis' last 5 starts vs. a team with a losing record, while the Giants are 0-7 in their last 7 during game 2 of a series. Doug Davis has not started out that great as he is 0-2 with a 4.15 ERA, but he will be facing a giant team that is 29th in scoring (3.5 rpg) and 25th in hiting (.237). The Giants have really struggled of late as they have averaged just 2.3 rpg in their last 7 games. The D-Backs have not been great offensively as they have averaged just 3.8 rpg (28th), but it may be coming around a bit as they have averaged 4.7 rpg in their last 3 games. Today they will be facing Tim Lincecum who is off to his own rocky start as he is 0-1 with a 7.56 ERA in his first 2 starts this year. Both pitchers have struggled out the gate, but I belive the D-Backs offense will have a beter time of it today and walk away with the upset.
Kansas City/ Texas Over 9: (Added) The Over is 12-4 in Royals last 16 road games vs. a team with a losing record, while the Over is 8-1-1 in Rangers last 10 games vs. a right-handed starter and 5-1-1 in Rangers last 7 games with the total set at 9.0-10.5. The Royals offense is coming around as they have averaged 7 rpg in their last 5 games. Today they will have a tough time of it as Millwood has posted a solid 0.64 ERA in his 1st 2 starts, but Kevin does own a 4.66 ERA in 11 starts vs the Royals, plus he has a 4.96 ERA in 47 career starts at Rangers Ballpark. The Rangers offense scored just 3 runs last night, but this team still averages 9.3 rpg at home and they should be able to score vs Greinke who has yet to allow an ER this year. That certainly can't go on forever. Rangers Ballpark was the top scoring park in the league last year and it has picked up where it left of as their games have averaged 16.3 rpg. I see another double digit run total in this one.
2 UNIT PLAYS

Ryam Demster had a great year pitching at home last year as he was 14-3 with a 2.86 ERA in 20 starts at Wrigley last year, including a 2-0 mark with a 2.31 ERA in 2 home starts vs the Cards. Kyle Lohse has started 7 games vs the Cubs and he is 1-2 with a 5.15 ERA in those starts. The Cards are off to nice start this year, but the Cubs at home with Dempster is the play.
Pittsburgh/ Atlanta Under 9: The Under is 6-1-1 in Reyes' last 8 starts during game 2 of a series and 10-3 in Reyes' last 13 road starts, while the Under is 5-1-1 in Pirates last 7 games as a home favorite and 7-0 in Snells last 7 starts with the total set at 9.0-10.5. Both teams have been struggling lately to score runs as the Braves have averaged just 1.8 rpg in their last 4 games, while the Pirates have averaged just 2.8 rpg in their last 5 games. The Pirates last 7 games have averaged just 5.8 rpg, while thier home games have averaged just 6 rpg. The pitching isn't that tough, but I don't see the hitting breaking through in this one.
