it is pretty difficult, unless you have grandparents that were born abroad in a dozen or so countries...or have about $400K to buy one from a couple obscure countries

The easiest, is Israel, as all JEWS are allowed access back to the homeland

That is the route I plan to take. it entails convincing a local rabbi you have "converted" to the jewish faith, and then just taking a trip there to get set up. Bit more complicated than that but I relish the challenge. if nothing else it will be an enlightening vacation

as far as the pros........the US is slowly turning into a police state...IF SHTF and marshal law is declared at some point, they aint going to let you out. people of course scoff at this, but there will be wars over energy soon.

Ps- Goldmoney.com is solid

joe i don't use goldmoney...for the mere fact I'm a pure value guy and their premium is a tad bit large. I try to buy at $8 or $9 over spot on gold, but that is getting difficult.

I have no doubt in their ability to safely store the metals and also for you to take possession.....they are a great easy safe option.

I keep my PM's close at hand, outside of a bank, in the ground. Zero storage fees...but I do plan on locating about 50% either in Uruguay or Panama soon.

BTW - You are on the right path IMO. Hardest thing to do for any investor is to "be right and sit tight" that is how real wealth is created. GL

I do feel there premium is a bit high also...I also currently hold some physical "in the ground"....glad to hear apositive review about goldmoney...
Also I picked up some more MFN at 8 bucks a share..I researched that company from top-to-bottom(at least I think I did) and I really feel it is tremendously Undervalued, but we shall see

more help for the dollar

Figures published by the European Union Thursday revealed that the eurozone economy contracted by 0.2% in the April-June period, raising recession fears.

insane rally we'll see if it ends at about oil 110?

77.24....111.39 oil.....779 gold

markets still below previous highs for now...they can't rally the USD and tank oil forever

longer term flawed thinking either way

USD now at about average price in q4 of 2007

this USD spike isn't gonna help J6P spend much more vs. q4 last year and now you gotta deal with no positive currency conversion shit from overseas on top of the tanking foreign currencies telling you the economies are moving towards contraction/recession

this USD spike isn't gonna help J6P spend much more i mean the lower gas might help a bit but homes keep falling, jobs keep getting lost, UE keeps going up etc..... vs. q4 last year and now you gotta deal with no positive currency conversion shit from overseas on top of the tanking foreign currencies telling you the economies are moving towards contraction/recession so therefore consuming less US goods

q4 GDP more likely to be negative fig now due to the recent pullback in inflation (inflation fluffs GDP) and dollar rally saying rest of the world going down with us

maybe we near the end back to 77.06.....oil and gold perking up a tad

and markets look tired again with like 3 or 4th straight day giving up the gains as we've been going sideways all week

ars really not gonna have much effect other than giving people some money that was locked up....and this money was intended to be in a safe conservative place to store it.....or so they were told ARS was safe

and most had to deal with lieing and being scared what was happening to their supposedly "safe" money so i'm sure they spooked

markets seem exhausted and putting in indecision candles on the weekly after a nice runup right at resistance

this bear still bored.....

tides should turn soon

tics data this morning for june showed 53.2b, still a decent amount of dough coming into the us...

just next round of lemmings giving the banks capital

just like the ME boyz that were giving money way back when this all started

plus that's down from 83 bil month before

gas drop didn't help mich sentiment numbers either...just hovering near the lows....

oil still hovering around 112....and dollar back to 77.26

i'd stay away from FCX (base metals)

only thing i like is gold/silver due to financial worries

think other commodities will continue to trend downward over the longer term (next year or two) as the gloom and doom spreads globally....although i expect oil/copper/corn etc... to bounce at some point soon

really oversold near term technically

long term really still think gold/silver is fine regardless if my deflation is coming

just think gold bugs (a majority who have an inverse USD fluctuation mindset) getting shaken out violently here

dow tries to cling to 50 DMA as vix tries to push down through 20

we might have one more push up to a slighly higher high maybe taking vix down to near 18

but will end sooner or later and cave in
