Not many realize this ,( I don't think) when Seinfeld first came out it was during the very beginning of Desert Storm...I remember working and coming home and hoping to catch the new comedy , Jerry Seinfeld was my favorite comedian back then...I had heard about the sitcom , and every week the war was interupting the show, I never even got a chance to see and after just a few episodes the show was suppose to have been cancelled!

Can you imagine if they never brought it back?

No question, Seinfeld is in the all time top 3. Too many lines/plots to name here.

Here's the thing: I used to think the Costanza character was genius. But have you ever seen Larry David's "Curb Your Enthusiasm"? Larry David is the real Costanza! Jason Alexander was not a great actor--all he did was a nine year impression of Larry David.

If there is such a thing as a TV hall of fame, Larry David is a first ballot hall of famer. Creating Seinfeld with Jerry and then what he's doing on "Curb". Incredible.

A couple of years back my brother had "Festivus" cards made up instead of Christmas cards. They included a "donation" to the Human Fund, the charity that George made up one time. The card also showed that "Art Van Deleigh" was the honorary chairman of the Human Fund.

My wife got the card and didn't get it when she opened it. I almost gave myself internal injuries from laughing so hard. I may copy that idea this year.

Festivus for the rest of us.

my #1 sitcom of all time...too many lines and situations to name...here are a few:

"serinity now!"

When george was in India and he had to use the bathroom but wouldnt...He said he would "sweat it out"

Shrinkage

That episode when George takes the book from the bookstore into the bathroom and then they make him buy it.

When Kramer keeps hiding the key in Jerry's apartment, but Jerry keeps finding it.

When Jerry buys that "wizard" for his dad...then kramer gets a knockoff version, "the williard" from his friend Bob Sakomono's dad

The reverse peephole

when Kramer returns from his "strike" and goes back to work.

when kramer opens up his strong box and jerry and elaine ask what is in there he says one of the items is a military discharge...jerry and elaine say "you were in the army?"...kramer says, "briefly"

i could go on forever..... :toast:

LOL, how about when George gets caught, double dipping, then he eats the eclair out of the trash (just inside the cylinder), then he gets caught looking like he's asking for spare change, when he spills his coffee on the car....

Or the time the Maestro ,Kramer and George's dad are playing pool in the tiny bedroom...they call it the 'billiard room' ...every shot the sticks are banging into the walls because the room is so tiny...and on top of it they are playing in their boxers.:digit:
