i wouldnt say all of theo's moves have been bad...your nitpicking they have made a lot of moves and ONLY a couple can be considered BAD...he has made a lot of good trades...more so than the yankees LOLOLOL

the mirabelli one is a joke...ill give ya that....clement was off a couple good years and bombed ill give ya that...drew stunk regular season but far as im concerned he earned his whole salary with the swing of 1 pitch vs cleveland when down 3-1 in the series (and dont give me this you cant make up for a whole year of failure in 1game or series bc AROD gets blasted in NY bc he produces all year and you get NOTHING out of him when it matters)....also this was drews 1st season in boston and if i remember correctly beckett bombed last year and he become the best pitcher in baseball this year, lets see what drew does next year with a year in boston under his belt...i also remember mike lowell being the THROW in salary dump in the beckett deal (not a bad throw in)

fwiw i dont think its wise getting santana here in boston either...he isnt worth 25million and he reminds me of pedro and the redsox (and theo) was smart to let him walk when they did....they are loaded already...if anything go with what they have and go after peavy (i believe he is a free agent next year)....id love to see them get haren from the A"s but like someone said he has several years left on his contract i dont know why oakland would trade it...dont go after santana....
