I'd like to see the Halos make a play.

Who knows if they'd be willing to trade for another FA eligible guy though? They knew full well that they could (and did) lose Tex but figured he would get them over the PO hump (Boston).

If they were willing to go that route again, I think it would work out better with an arm. Roy, Weaver & Lackey would be a tough PO rotation.

They've got enough ammo as well. I don't know what the Jays current needs are but the Angels could put together a 2-3 player deal with some combo of Kendrick, Brandon Wood, GM Jr. & maybe even Vlad....plus a young pitcher like Saunders or O'sullivan.

Moreno could definitely afford him also & I doubt big Roy invokes his NT clause to go to Socal & contend.

If the rumors are true that the Phillies are about to sign Pedro then you can drop them from the list of teams going after Halladay.

I am going to see good ole Roy tomorrow afternoon at the Trop....

Jays obviously showcasing Doc to the Rays today

Look for a Kazmir/Sonnanstine/Wade Davis package to Toronto during the AS Break

that's worth two

the White Sox will come out of nowhere and this will allow them to surpass the Tigers in the Central and with a trio of Halladay/Buehrle/Danks will be tough in a playoff series....im thinking Gordon Beckham/Gavin Floyd and 2 more stud prospects. If not the Sox then the Phillies I just think the Sox are gona be ever so thankful Peavy nixed the trade to the windy city because look what they will end up with now...the best in the biz :toast:

I like the White Sox too but I don't think will part with Beckham. I think they will package Josh Fields/Aaron Poreda/Clayton Richard. For years I have been hoping the Sox would get the chance to put a package together for Doc Holliday.

New rumors coming in. I could be dead wrong about Martinez. Supposedly the Jays are asking for JA Happ and a few of the Phillies top prospects for Halladay. Supposedly if this doesn't happen then the Phillies will sign Martinez.

Keep dreaming both of you. Sox have been cock blocked twice this year with Peavey and Oswalt, even if Kenny got the deal in place Roy would make it a trifecta. Pitchers do not want to come to one of the top 3 hitters parks in all of basebal

You are spot on though about the Beckham situation he might be the great white hope of the south side much like Corey Patterson, Kevin Orie and Hee Sop Choi were on the north side a few years back. They won't part with him.

My guess is as good as any of yours but it would almost have to be a team not in the AL East and most likely a team in the National League. The only two teams that I can see doing something for him are the Mets or the Dodgers.
