Far from a Pats fan... But it Didn't even Help them win the game. The balls were found at halftime and they still scored 28 Unanswered points in the 2nd half

<I look at it like a punter taking steroids. If a punter fails a drug test, he gets suspended b/c he's getting a "competitive edge" no matter how large or small it is.
It's not like all backups who get zero playing time are allowed to break the rules even though they have zero impact on the game. YOu can't say "well he's the 3rd string and they would have won anyways so why are you punishing him?"
