Just look at this current year in regards to handling of footballs. Vikings panthers placed their game balls in front of heaters to soften the ball. Rodgers has gone on record saying he goes over the legal limit on PSI's.

I couldn't and still can't believe how much attention this has gotten, especially with the outcome of the 2nd half of the AFC Championship game (and even the Super Bowl)

Who said the league would be hurting if Brady retired? Idiotic. Unless they outlaw gambling or fantasy football this league will continue to
be a cash cow.....even with the worst commissioner in all of sports

Out of all the things that go wrong in the NFL, this is a joke.

People are joking that Brady retiring would hurt the league? The league did just fine before him and will continue on just fine without him. Nobody outside of NE gives a fuck about Brady.

Good thing I said Goodell and not the league or I'd think maybe you're taking a shot.....

Having said that, I agree with your statement completely.

I wonder what Goodell would say if Brady tells him that if he gets suspended over alleged accusations (that have not been proven), then he will retire.

I would hope he would laugh in his face.

I really think Brady and his people could have a field day in court with this one...

For what? How? Brady refused to provide evidence that could have exonerated him. In court, this would go worse for Brady than the A-Rod trial.

HA HA HA HA HA!

[h=1]Get to know Jimmy Garoppolo[/h]When the Patriots lose Tom Brady to suspension for his role in DeflateGate, Bill Belichick will be going from a future Hall of Fame quarterback to a 23-year-old kid out of Eastern Illinois. That kid is Jimmy Garoppolo, and he may very well be New England’s starting quarterback when they kick off the 2015 NFL season against the Steelers on Thursday, Sept. 10.

^ I love that.

In 2010, the NFL suspended Roethlisberger for 6 games a week after prosecutors decided not to charge him in a criminal case. He was never charged with any crimes or convicted of any crimes. There was no outcry from Steeler fans that this was some conspiracy or a sting operation. In fact, there were people burning #7 jerseys and the Steelers owner said he supported the suspension.

The reaction by Patriots fans to this is pathetic. They have no idea how freakin sad they look.

I love the fact that people have been criticizing the Patriots for the last 9 years saying the Pats can't win the SB without cheating (due to spygate) and the 1 the Pats win, they cheat.

When this story broke with the report being released I was thinking that a 2 game suspension for Brady was appropriate. Now, after listening to Pats fans, Brady's agent, and Brady be a complete douche bag, I hope Brady is suspended for a year. I really do.

If the NFL can suspend Pac Man Jones for a year ("We must protect the integrity of the NFL" was the 1[SUP]st[/SUP] sentence uttered when announcing this suspension) then I think conspiring to, and actually cheating, is worth a year as well.

I live about 20 minutes from Gillette, but I grew up rooting for and continue to root for the Giants. All the Brady love in the media here can be nauseating at times, so for entertainment purposes I'd love to see Goodell suspend Brady for 6 games or more. I can only imagine the outcry from Pats fans. That said, I won't be surprised if he only comes away with a large fine. Imo, the NFL is just as complicit in this whole thing for allowing the first half of a championship game to be played with "suspect balls". Roger talks all about the "integrity" of the game being paramount, yet he was willing to give it up just to see what would happen?

let's keep in mind, INNOCENT men don't go down quietly. If one is innocent one fights for justice ,wants to PROVE one's innocence. In this case we have an American sporting hero, beloved by seemingly many with his reputation on the line. SHOCKINGLY , Mr.Brady is putting up little fight to prove his INNOCENCE . In addition, the organization for which he's gainfully employed is rather quiet.

let's see if Mr.Brady has a change of heart and goes into attack mode. My guess is................ he will not...:)

doubt you would say that to his face.....that goes for the rest of you too. Classiest, wittiest, most respected player in the league. if you notice, no player has said bumpkin about this, especially fellow QB's

Brunell and Tarkenton are 2 QBs that don't believe him as well as Bettis, Dawkins and Woody.
All retired, yes . But doesn't really matter IMO.
