Remember when the NBA Draft use to be so intriguing?

I know back in the day the NBA draft was very interesting, now it has almost become an afterthought, to even diehard NBA fans.



Is anyone really looking forward to the NBA draft, and why?

I still think Rudy Gay is the best player with the most upside in the draft...Gay could be another Ray Allen type player, with a bit more inside game, he really lacks on the defensive end and is stll very raw, but has enormous potential IMO..

How tall is Adam Morrison? I dont remember but I thought he was like 6'10". I could be wrong. He could be another Nowitzki type. Unless he's 6'5", then just shoot me now.

Morrison is 6-8 and roughly 205 lbs soaking wet...Portland is the most likely team to grab him at #4...I don't see him being Nowizki, maybe Van Horn lol....I wouldn't touch him.

I still enjoy watching the draft as a big bball fan...but I agree it has lost some of its luster... if you guys havent heard, stern is opening some type of black box that will "change the game" close to or on the draft

The only intriguing thing I can recall about the NBA is how badly they can can go through the motions for 3 quarters & then actually play in one

(To of course lay more of the bad, bad beats than I've seen in anything outside of Monday Night Football).

Not only will UConn be losing 3 underclassman, so will Texas, LaMarcus Aldridge, Daniel Gibson, PJ Tucker all moving on.

The Knicks have no access to any of these guys!!!!! They traded

I too am looking forward to this draft also. Unlike most people
I think this draft year has some solid players. Brandon Roy's
style is a perfect fit for the NBA. Tyrus Thomas will soon emerge
as a Top Notch Power Forward as well I think.

Bargnani is touted as being a possible future superstar also.

Rudy Gay he'll be good. probably a future all star.

No one talks about Dukes Sheldon Williams but I think
he could be something special.

Adam Morrison will be an ok player.

J.J Redick will be garbage and will be playing in Europe within
18 months of being in league. He can't create his own shot.

The NBA draft has become a joke. The lottery system is an even bigger joke. I know that everyone thought it sucked when Orlando had the number one pick two years in a row, but it was a fairer system. Now you have teams just mailing it in at the end of the season to get better picks. Why should teams get rewarded for sucking!

And these players on average probably stay with their drafted team for only a few years anyway. I remember when there would be lots of good college players coming out in a certain year and that's when drafts meant something. Now these guys just all leave college in a couple of years anyway just to get paid. No one cares anymore.

This year's NBA playoffs were the best we have had in a long time. They could show reruns of all those games and people will care way more about watching them than the draft!

if every kid was forced to go to college and stay 4 years , the draft would be incredible .. as would college basketball ..

thats what made cbb so great in the 70's and early 80's....

He doesn't have Nowitzki's size, but he's also much more skilled than Van Horn. He's going to be a 20+ point scorer on a poor team.
