To be honest hc should be directing his anger more towards Sonos then apple.

It was Sonos that decided it would no longer be compatible with iPad1: Not the other way around

thats not entirely true. apple has alot and the final say on apps that go into its marketplace

Its true in this case. Just did some research and this was a Sonos call not apple.
I have Sonos myself so was curious about it.

Yeah you're right. Fuckin stupid, there is nothing in that app that should require any capability specific to ios6+.

99% of the time I control the sonos from my phone anyway.
