If you’re trying to save money on an NFL game in the Bay Area, check out Oakland Coliseum. The cost for two to attend a Raiders game is far less than seeing the San Francisco 49ers.
The Raiders went on a bad streak of losing seasons from 2003 to 2015, at best racking up records of 8-8 in 2010 and 2011. The team finished the 2016 NFL season with a record of 12-4 — their best since 2000 — led by quarterback Derek Carr, the highest-paid Oakland Raider last year.

The San Diego Chargers relocated to Los Angeles, creating two NFL teams in a city that until recently had none. The hope is that LA’s bigger market will boost team profits. That said, the cost of the Chargers to move to LA was not cheap.
Currently, the Chargers play at the StubHub Center in Carson, Calif., as they await the completion of the new Los Angeles Stadium and Entertainment District at Hollywood Park.

Considering the Chicago Bears haven’t reached the playoffs since 2010, the median price to attend a game at Soldier Field is a bit high. In fact, the Bears have the highest average ticket prices in the NFL.

[h=2]12. The Carolina Panthers joined the NFL as an expansion team in 1995, and yet managed to reach the NFC Championship only two years later, in January 1997. Since then, the Panthers appeared in the 2004 Super Bowl and 2015 Super Bowl, losing to the Patriots and Broncos, respectively.
The Panthers recovered from a poor 2016 season by finishing 11-5 in 2017, before getting knocked out in the first round of playoffs. In 2018, disgraced team owner Jerry Richardson relinquished his role, bringing in hedge fund manager David Tepper, the billionaire who bought the team.

AT&T Stadium is known for its gigantic TV scoreboard, which blocked a Dallas punt in 2014 and almost cost them the game. The stadium ranks No. 1 for the most expensive parking, and tickets aren’t that cheap either. On top of that, AT&T’s contract with the Cowboys ranks among the most expensive stadium sponsorship deals of all time.
The Cowboys racked up an impressive 13-3 record in 2016 before dropping to 9-7 last season. Hoping to improve in 2018, the Cowboys start their season playing the Panthers at Carolina.

[h=2]10. Levi’s Stadium was expensive to build and tickets to see the San Francisco 49ers aren’t cheap either. Parking is expensive, too — second only to the Dallas Cowboys’ rate of $75. But with four straight seasons of no playoffs, 49ers tickets might come down more in price.
The 49ers have struggled since Jim Harbaugh left the organization. After making the playoffs three years in a row from 2011 through 2013, the team stumbled in 2014 with an 8-8 record, followed by an abysmal 2-14 finish in 2016 and 6-10 record in 2017. For the opening of the 2018 NFL season, the 49ers take on the Minnesota Vikings.

After dismal records of 3-13 in the 2013 season and 4-12 in the 2014 season, the Washington Redskins came back in 2015 with a 9-7 record and playoff berth. In 2016 and 2017, however, the team finished below 500, with a record of 8-7-1 and 7-9, respectively.
The last time the Redskins won Super Bowl XXVI was in 1992, but that hasn’t stopped ticket prices from reaching a median price of $235 per ticket. Interestingly, Warren Buffett has expressed interest in wanting to buy the Redskins, which is just one of several brands that billionaire investor Warren Buffett loves.

For the 2017 season, the Eagles finally clinched their first Super Bowl win against the Patriots in February 2018. As defending Super Bowl champs, the Eagles play in the first game of the 2018 NFL season on Thursday, Sept. 6, against a notable NFC rival, the Atlanta Falcons.
The median ticket price for a Philadelphia Eagles game is $250, which is tied with the Pittsburgh Steelers as the seventh-highest. With such pricey tickets, when it comes to purchasing team memorabilia and fanwear, you might want to avoid buying these things at an NFL game.

The Pittsburgh Steelers get their 2018 season started against the Browns in Cleveland. This division-rivalry game has individual tickets starting at $108.
The Steelers have won six Super Bowl championships in eight appearances, the most in the NFL. Ben Roethlisberger led the Steelers to victory in Super Bowl XL in 2006 and Super Bowl XLIII in 2009. In the latter game, Santonio Holmes won Most Valuable Player award and also became one of the richest Super Bowl MVPs of all time.

On Sunday, Sept. 9, the Tennessee Titans launch their 2018 NFL season with a game against the Dolphins in Miami. In the 2017 season, the Titans finished with a record of 9-7 and advanced to the second round of the playoffs. That season, defensive tackle Jurrell Casey was selected for his third consecutive Pro Bowl and became the highest-paid player on the team.

Houston used to be home of the Houston Oilers until they moved to Nashville and became the Titans. In 2002, the city got approval to start a new expansion team and the Houston Texans were born. Before it was named NRG, the stadium was called Reliant, after Reliant Energy made one of the most lucrative sports deals for the Texans, paying the Houston NFL team $10 million a year for the name.
The Houston Texans became playoff contenders starting in 2011 but have failed to advance through the divisional rounds. After a playoff appearance in 2016, the Texans fell to 4-12 in the 2017 season. For the 2018 season, the Texans play their first game away against the New England Patriots. The cheapest tickets, according to Ticketmaster, are about $278 each.

[h=2]4. The Denver Broncos won back-to-back Super Bowls in 1998 and 1999 under quarterback John Elway. Throughout the 2000s, the Broncos remained a competitive team, but when they acquired Peyton Manning in 2012, things really took off — and they won Super Bowl 50 against the Panthers.
With Manning’s retirement, after making the playoffs five seasons in a row, the Broncos missed them in 2016 and again in 2017. For their 2018 NFL season opener, the Broncos face off against the Seattle Seahawks at Sports Authority Field. Hopefully this year, the Broncos will continue their longest active NFL sellout streak begun in 1970.

The Green Bay Packers’ home, Lambeau Field, holds the distinction of being owned by the fans. However, that doesn’t mean tickets are cheap. Costing $301, Lambeau Field’s median ticket price is the third-most expensive in the NFL.

[h=2]2. Under quarterback Russell Wilson, the Seattle Seahawks have become perennial front-runners in the NFC West — and the NFL, in general. The Seahawks trounced the Broncos 43-8 in Super Bowl XLVIII, and they’ve made the playoffs every NFL season from 2012 through 2016. Last year, the Seahawks missed the playoffs for only the second time since 2010.
CenturyLink Field is notoriously loud, and media company Thrillist named it No. 2 in its list of the best NFL stadiums. In terms of prices, beer and hot dog are among the cheapest, although $50 for parking is not. But the Seahawks won’t be at home for their 2018 season opener; they’ll be playing in Denver against the Broncos.

The New England face the Texans at Gillette Stadium, whose median ticket price is by far the highest in the NFL. The Patriots have racked up five Super Bowl championships, but they’ve also garnered a more dubious statistic. They’re the only NFL team that failed to win the Super Bowl after they finished a regular season undefeated.
The Patriots’ 16-0 season was back in 2007, and they’ve since won Super Bowl XLIX and Super Bowl LI. For the 2017 NFL season, they returned to the Super Bowl, losing out to the underdog Philadelphia Eagles by a score of 41 to 33

Going to an NFL game sucks for the most part imo. 10 mins of action in 3 hrs.

But people do it and they aren't stopping anytime soon. Why it is so expensive.

Another thing is season ticket holders have to purchase 2 preseason games which is basically lighting money on fire. But people do it.

I figured I'd let you get done before chiming in. That's interesting that the Niners are that much. Before Jimmy G coming to town, you literally couldn't give the tickets away. People were trying to sell their PSLs and were only getting 25-50%. People were turning down free tickets. I stopped going to NFL games years ago. NFL Sunday Ticket rules and much more enjoyable to me.

I was a Season ticket holder up until the JETS started with the PSL
why should I pay to buy Tickets ... Plus the best seat in the house, is in Your House.

I don't understand how people can really afford it now a days, I know you can buy them for your business or corp, but the avg fan, it's crazy
