First off I'll say that since posting at the RX I have opened my mind to posting up with BHB in the future but have yet to because of the following deterrants...

-The novelty factor
I tend to not post up with books with an unbusiness like look. Books that have swimsuits all over them and a name like beverly hills when your located in CR. A big bonus with all kinds of ways to make it not benefit the client.

-Your located in CR
A book has to offer something special to be looked at in an ungoverned area which wants to move it books out of town anyways.

-no real reload bonus/full juice
A book has to either offer reload bonuses to offset the juice or not charge 10%. If your not gonna let me reload after a withdrawl then your charging me 10% with NO incentive.

-low limits
The bonus you do offer for initial deposit is enough to get me there initially which I see as reduced juice. But then I have to bet low.

-black background site
messes with my eyes

-and the consensus answer
too damn expensive

I used to hate bodog for all the same reasons but they made one change ad now I love em because they serve a purpose for me. They have a reload bonus for every deposit which meets my personal need. They compliment my other outs. My point is if you change one thing that any of the posters suggested you may fall into a niche for some.
I bet you would get more signups by posting the same stuff in a forum like covers has where alot wager smaller limits.
I will still be watching BHB though. Any standup book stays in the radar.

MY MAIN PROBLEM WOULD BE THE LOCKING OF THE ACCOUNT WHEN A MISTAKE IS MADE....

YOU GUYS HAVE A LOT OF RESTRICTIVE WAGERING RULES THAT ARE DIFFERENT FROM MOST SHOPS, AND FOR THOSE OF US THAT BET WITH SEVERAL DIFFERENT PLACES, IT IS HARD TO REMEMBER EACH ONE....

IF YOUR SOFTWARE WAS SET SO THAT IT DIDNT TAKE THE BETS THAT U DIDNT WANT WOULD BE A LOT NICER THAN TRYING TO LOGIN AND BEING LOCKED OUT....SEEMS A BETTER WAY WOULD BE TO HAVE THE SOFTWARE BLOCK PLAYS THAT YOU CONSIDER ILLEGAL, OR TO NOTIFY THE PLAYER BY EMAIL....IT IS FRUSTRATING TO GO TO LOGIN AND BE LOCKED OUT...THEN EVEN AFTER CONTACTING YOU AND REALIZING WHAT HAPPENED, THE ACCOUNT IS STILL LOCKED THE NEXT DAY.....

MIND YOU WE ARE TALKING ABOUT PARLAYING THE FIRST HALF OF A GAME, WITH THE SECOND HALF OF "ANOTHER" GAME....NOT ANY KIND OF CORRELATED PARLAYS....THESE ARE BETS THAT ARE AVAILABLE AT MOST OF THE SHOPS HERE.......

JUST SOMETHING TO CONSIDER........WHEN U ARE TRYING TO GO "THAT EXTRA MILE" TO GET OUR BUSINESS....

How would everyone feel if we had a 7c juice on Fridays for NFL and NCAA. This isn't a done deal, but it seems that reduced juice is what most posters would like to see.

not trying to be mean, but other places have like -105 on fridays etc.

I dont think reduced juice on fridays would really make you standout.

But hey, anything extra is always nice and customers appreciate that.

-107 daily would make me reup or a free 1/2 point @ -110 such as Rio/Skybook. You had some great deals in the past such as 7/1 on three team parlays and free point if you play the board but you took those away. I'm afraid that you may pull the old bait and switch again like you did with the two above great offers.

Im glad to see so many posts in this thread. This is exactly the kind of imput we need to help grow. Thank you guys.

Our incentives as of now are - 20% cash signups, 15% cash reloads, 10% back on losses, and free half on favorite team.

Do you think it would be better if they were more like -

15% signup, 15% reloads, -07 or 3 cents in your favor on all games (online only) same rules regarding rollovers etc.

the reason we dont give a bonus on deposits that come immediately after a withdrawel is because peole will just withdraw and reload all day long. we donthowever put a time restriction on when you can withdraw like some books do.

Please tell me more. I want to make some changes so this will be the perfect time.

we are also changing the homepage within the next 2 weeks. more user friendly, (and now with a white background)

thanks again

or how about this -

15% cash signup, 10% cash reloads, 1% back on amount in action each month, and 7% juice. (in bases and stuff like that 3 cents in your favor)

but

no free payouts, in fact they cost 2%, and a 30 processing fee.

$ 200 annual fee to pay. and must referr at least one player each year.

$ 50 referral bonus

would this be a profitable book?

i still say, make your betting rules clearer, not so many "illegal" plays that are allowed everywhere else, and notify clients if there is a problem instead of locking them out of their accounts, and making them come looking for you......

the other ideas are nice, but more betting options, and reduced vig are the main draws for any book......and fast payouts, which u have already achieved....

i understand the rules you are talking about. I will check into those.

as far as locking the account, i dont think our software allows you to make illegal plays anymore. so locking the account would be unnecessary.

MUCH BETTER.

"the reason we dont give a bonus on deposits that come immediately after a withdrawel is because peole will just withdraw and reload all day long. we donthowever put a time restriction on when you can withdraw like some books do."
Scott, drop the whole bonus system. You probably have 50% bonus whore that middle your bonus out elsewhere. You don't want that - they abuse your generousity.

"Please tell me more. I want to make some changes so this will be the perfect time."
The quarterly cash back idea you had is nice & fair - or maybe a loyal point thing. These are nice ways to reward loyal player & NOT cater to whores.
But mainly, you NEED competitive prices. 10 cent MLB is standard.

i must say, i dont see how u could be that profitable giving 2% back on winnings....

i can see the losses, but giving back on winnings too seems like a recipe for disaster....

I don't play there because-

1. Your vig is too high.

2. I don't know of a trustworthy independant party that audits and provides regulations on your company.

3. Some of your lines come out too late.
