Let's say you or your signifigant other go out for the evening and the other one is home......what is the "curfew"........what is a reasonable time? what isn't? Should that person be able to stay out and come home when they want?

Some input please ladies and gentleman.......a few people waiting to hear the "world's" opinions.....

I suppose it depends on a few things Sherm. Some partners are more trusting than others, and also may depend on past history. Some are more insecure than others also. Many factors involved........

Sherman-Just depends on the situation and where they are at. My girl works at a bar and sometimes stays at work and hangs out with the other employees drinking and she might not get home till 6am. I really think to get a honest answer you need more details.

For example, if you are out with the guys for the night at the bars and she knows it is going to be late, then no big deal. If however you are playing golf at 10am and dont gt home till 4am, then you are in sh!ts creek.

I am married to a Costa Rican, thats funny you bring this up, because I am at home and my wife is out visiting one of her friends, she will come home between 10pm and 11pm EST.we never talk about curfews, I trust her with all my heart. I was with her when I didnt have a pot to pee in and a window to throw it out so I trust her 100%, she is the best I ever been with my entire life. I have been clean and sober for 1yr and 7 months, and she has alot to do with that.

The next full moon is an acceptable amount of time.

Seriously it depends on the trust that has been established in the relationship by both partners. We are not children and should have to be home by two or else. You either trust your wife or you don't and vice versa.

Land of the free, man.

Unless, of course, there is a state imposed emergency curfew,
as in a state of war.

If she is HOT she needs to be home at 9PM(sharp), kind of average 11PM is fine and if she is hamburger-helper leftovers; then all night plus the next day and hopefully longer....

I would never want to restrict my wife's freedom nor would I want her to restrict mine, so no such thing as curfew for us. I go out with the boys about once every 2 weeks and I usually get home around 3 am. I'm not a young whippersnapper anymore, so I don't even feel like staying out longer than that. I suppose if I partied every night until 6 am she'd raise a stink, but that wouldn't be me and so she wouldn't be with me in the first place.

I have been married for 5 years and see absolutely no reason for curfews. If you trust you significant other why bother? If you don't trust each other, why be together in the first place?
