Wow I'm stunned as well the World Cup is this eagerly anticipated. That's great because this forum will be buzzing in less than a month with soccer talk.

the racing industry is looking for a super horse and maybe (I have said this before) Barbaro is just that. It would be real fun to witness a triple crown champ. It would be a real feel good story.

World Cup, not even remotely close. Thank God for tivo, now I just have to avoid anyone and anything that will broadcast scores. Shouldn't be hard here in Pittsburgh.

Pirates are eliminated, well not technically, but perception is reality with those clowns.

And the big news is mini camp. Don't get me wrong, I like the Steelers as much as any 'yinzer, but the biggest news in town is that Santonio Holmes had to leave camp in order to finish up classes for the semester.

World cup games are fun in person but on TV? I can watch all the action in 2 minutes on Sportscenter.

It should be the world cup hands down but not much atmosphere for the game here in north america, especially the west coast with the early starts. Oh to be back in England where they are passionate about sport - it is dead here especially here in Canada.

I would rank it last of the the categories listed.

Interleague would be last or 2nd to last on my list....... Although in florida I guess nothing beats a warm florida day like a beer and a baseball game.

How can anyone not think it is the World Cup. The World game's biggest prize. The others are small fry in terms of viewing audience worldwide.

Instead of every 4 years they should play the World Cup of Soccer every 100 years.:103631605 And ban the sport for anyone over the age of 10 the other 99 years!:103631605

I used to be a soccer basher myself until I watched the world cup. It isn't MLS fellas. The fact that it happens once every 4 years makes it special. Started liking soccer during the 94 world cup, really started loving it during 02. My buddy and I would stay up all night to watch games live in Spanish channel telemundo, though niether of us know Spanish. Since then I have followed European soccer much closer than I used to. It actually is a great sport. It's not american football, but I would put it ahead of hockey and only slightly behind baseball and basketball.

I'm not a football fan by any mean (soccer) but anyone who doesn't realise the world cup football is the biggest event in sport bar none (including the olympics) doesn't understand or is not worldly in their outlook on sport.

I'll be at the Indy 500 1st turn Stand E 3rd row up for 5th time next weekend. Nothing is better then seeing that race from that vantage point. Goose bumps just thinking about it. Wrigley the day after in Bleachers

Wow...i am amazed at the landslide for the World Cup.
And just as amazed that OMT chose it.

These are my top 4, not in any particular order, with
little interest in the other options...

NBA Playoffs and Finals

Stanley Cup Playoffs and Finals

World Cup Soccer
