Justify your actions with all the silly analogies you want a cheater is a cheater. But it is really swell to know that some posters would return a lost wallet if they found it. God bless you

Probably both C and D. Ive placed a bet on a jacked up line then call cust service and let them know about it. The last time it happened I remember it distinctly it was the Villanova Georgetown game and the line was 10' or 11 and it was GT -5.5 for the half. Heritage had it for +5.5 I pounded it for a nickle and I called them. They thanked me for it, let the play stand and gave me a $300 Bonus Play on top of it.

ANy Bookmakers reading this post....Is it your policy/practice...to reward a player who calls in with the mistaken line....what incentive 'other than integrity' would we have to do this?

D, Pinnacle paid me $50 for letting them know of a mildly incorrect line. Very nice of them.

I think 25.00 would be pretty standard for most shops. Some books I am sure give more and I'm also sure some would give you ZERO and act very ungreatful in doing so. For the best result it's best to ask to speak to the lineguy directly.

A bunch of scumbag crooks.

Yea it is OK to steal from a corporation and not an individual.

Y'all are in dire need of some real parenting, you know folks that actually teach you right from wrong.

Pros do not alienate outs via betting into bad numbers.

If there's an obvious mistake, certainly I would do nothing, the books I play with are big enough to correct it quick without my help.
If there's a weak line then I pound it, who wouldn't ? After all, maybe it's weak only for me.

So far I like what Pretending, acw, and matahari wrote. Otherwize's post is a candidate for most hypocritical of the year in that it practices the opposite ethics of what is being preached, kind of like the priests who jack off to lolita websites.

In the case of most books I would do A - nothing, because they have my money and by making a bet I am giving them a free chance to do whatever they want with it. They could wait until the game is over and cancel it if it wins but honor it if it loses. I don't want to give them such an option against me so I just stay away. If the book has been especially good to me I may choose D but that would be an exception.

SportSavant,

Please look at:

Darryl,

You will be shocked to find out how many truly belong to category D or better said those that try to be super honest in life. They are so honest that they even worry about how much tax one should pay being a gambler. And this is often a very difficult question to answer. Some of them worry about it so much that they forget in order to even be able to pay tax one has to make money in the first place!

acw,

I know, I've met some of those myself. It's as though they have a "please take advantage of me" sign on their foreheads. Nice people but not my type. Looking after yourself and questioning authority are signs of good mental health IMO.

I would NEVER tell a book or a bookie they screwed up. Maybe because it's gambling..which is kinda a shady pasttime to begin with.

The Girl at McDonalds or elsewhere screws up my change I'm telling her..... I even went back once to give money back when I realized it after the fact

But Gambling is different, I think.

Shady might not be the right word, but as it is Illegal... or borderline legal, I just look at it differently. it's not the kid at the Counter screwing up.
