QUESTION: how big of harddrive is necessary? I found a couple great deals on craigslist but the xbox hard drive is only 120gb compared to 240 if I buy it new from best buy.

Overall, I believe Ill have around a half dozen games saved What type of harddrive should i look for (w xbox and ps3)?

this is an easy decision PS3 hands down....... I have a few friends that were xbox lovers and they converted to the PS3, I dont know 1 person that went from PS3 to xbox....
I own both and the PS3 can do way more than an xbox, you will not be disappointed with the PS3 it does everything except wipe your ass for you and they might add that feature next month....
to top it off its also a blue ray player.

The box is the superior system as far as game play and selection of games.

PS3 +are blue ray, free online play(xbox is like 8.95 a month or 60 a year, xbox online play is way better).

The only reason i own a PS3 is because MLB the show...If you are a baseball game guy The show is a must have and is only available for PS3 other than that I dont touch the ps3.

I buy xbox live 12 month cards for $30 shipped online. I know it's more if you buy right through the console.

I forgot to add i have had the xbox since day1 (about 5 years) and the ps3 for about 3. I have had no issues with the ps3 but i have add a few with the xbox....I had a problem called the 3rings of death were the system would not turn on,also the sliding tray would get stuck and not open sometimes. Both times i sent it in and microsoft fixed it for free.

I had the same problem myself, but all ofthe new 360's being released now use newer processors and better heatsinks so the problems have been solved from what i can tell.

Im gonna buy an XBOX 360 I think. What is kinect? Is that like the wiiiii aspect of XBOX or something?

I just wanna get it so I can play nba 2k11 and a few other sports games online w/ friends. Also I wouldn't mind playing some of the kinect games. Anybody have an opinion on if I should get kinect or not? Do they come together? I know nothing about video games.

You can play NBA 2k11 on the onlive system it's only 100$ comes with 40 games. It's great.

Kinect is a motion sensing device. You interact with the game by moving your hands and feet or jumping or moving or whatever. I really have no desire to get into that.

Kinect is like wiiiii (wont let me type *** for some reason) though right? Not saying i'm into that but I'm thinking if I get it with the xbox itll have better resale value since I really have no idea how long I'd keep it. Just figure give it a try....
havent played video games in forever but my friend in another state tells me how great the game is and says we can play online..

I was just comparing the 2 systems again today.

Was going to go with the 360, now I think it's a waiting game again to see which one of their motion additions end up being better....

I figure even if I don't like it i can just put it on ebay or whatever and get 80-90% of my value back so not much downside to giving it a try.

I still prefer the PS3. Though a decent part of that is the PlayTV add-on that effectively makes it act as a DVR - I'm not sure how that works in the US.. combine that with blu-ray and the gaming and it's a great all-in-one entertainment system.

xbox 360, one word :kinect!!

Yea i purchessed one, thought is was going to be the usual / semi fun interactive game like the *** games. I was wrong. I watched my girlfriend playing it and before long i had to kick her off to try it. Its a lot of fun , i cant wait for more sports games. Although if planning on buying it , its really important to have the space for it.
